The more we use it the more we like it. Coming from a 1-button start oven to this dial version is a little funky at first but once you get the hang of it, it's just as intuitive. Works beautifully and we hadn't realize how poorly our previous oven was performing until using this one. Exhaust fan is very good (it's set-up to vent outside-not back in the kitchen) which we appreciate when we fire up the wok or do any sort of high heat searing. Gray interior is sleek and it looks great with her sister Café range! Very happy with our purchase.
This is a beautiful appliance and matches my range perfectly. Many reviews mention the dial and a lot are negative about the dial. I am of the opposite opinion. I find the dial very easy to use, and most functions can be accomplished with the same or less clicks or rotations than using the number pad. Of course it takes a little time to get used to. This unit is easy to clean both interior and exterior. There's a lot less fingerprints on the control panel because of the dial. My favorite function is the Bluetooth connection to the range. The clock is automatically set after a power outage. The cooktop light and the evacuation fan automatically comes on when you turn on any burner. I highly recommend this unit.
We recently bought the GE Cafe Double Oven Gas Range and like it so much when the older Microwave went out decided to purchase the GE Cafe Series Microwave. We really love the features like the timer knob vs keypad, it give the microwave a cleaner look and the spacious 2.1 cubic feet of cooking space allows for bigger dishes. Lastly it matches the clean looks of the oven.
I love all my Cafe appliances, and the microwave puts the final touches to our Cafe kitchen. I do wish Cafe made a downdraft slide in range since that is the only option in our home, so unfortunately we had to go with a different brand range. If Cafe decides to make them, we will buy one.
Beautiful, works great, fun and simple to use daily
I just this after 2 months of waiting for availability. I bought it as an upgrade to my previous one because of all the cool features especially the stream. The number of fans this unit head came handy- it will reduce the smell of the food when cooking.
Love the microwave's cooking capability. We wish it had more menu selections for particular foods, as our older GE model had. Other than that, it operates very well. The faux chrome plastic covering on the pull handle is already crinkled and coming off, however, which is disappointing for such a costly appliance.
We purchased this microwave to replace a previous cafe model that stopped working. It's a great match to our cafe range and has lots of great features. I'm giving 4 stars because we had an issue regarding the instructions of the damper for our rear exhaust install. They did not exist and the damper that was provided did not work properly until we bent a tab back for the air to flow. This damper would not have worked properly for the top exhaust as well. It was frustrating dealing with this on the install but it all worked out in the end and we are very happy with the microwave.
So far I love how the microwave cooks. Vent fans are pretty loud. The clock display is so bright it is hard to read because it is blinding. I have ordered some dimming stickers to put over the clock to help. I do not like having to turn a dial for cook time, I would prefer push button. The push button pad is pretty soft, so I do worry the push pad will not hold up over time.
Microwave has a vibrating noise that is noticeable. Had a GE microwave prior and it did not make this noise.
