I had to replace my old one which was with me for about 12 years it finally died but it's a great product to have again! It's great for everyday chopping. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and this little product saves me every day !
This mini prep is the best. I use it to make my salad dressings, when I need small amounts of chopped onions, carrots, minced garlic or herbs. plus it's easy to clean as well as easy to store. I've been using the mini prep for many years, my white one. However I dropped the cover and a piece broke off and you can't use the prep without the right cover. (A safety feature) So I was on the hunt for a replacement cover which I couldn't find so instead I replaced my machine, the only difference is the color. This is one gadget I would find difficult to be without. It works so great.
I was a little hesitant to get this due to the size constraints, plus I already had a small Hamilton-Beech model. But I decided to try it and ordered. When it arrived I was impressed by how tidy the foodprint was; my H-B takes up twice the counter and cabinet space. A plus is the non-slip feet at each of the four corners, they keep the food processor exactly where I put it. The two speeds - which I originally thought trivial are actually quite useful. The Lo speed is perfect for a rough chop on nearly anything and the Hi-speed makes quick work to mince whatever you would want minced, the blades are even reversible so that this can be used as a grinder. A bonus is that all of the components are dishwasher safe, but even still are easy to manually clean. The included spatula makes scraping the small bowl easy and efficient since it's shaped to fit. It was a no-brainer at this point to ditch the H-B. Overall, I love this thing and would not hesitate to recommend it - it also has me seriously considering the larger 14-cup model...
Works really well as a meat grinder as long as the meat is cut up first and you use the spatula and follow instructions. I hope it will grate hard cheese as well!
I love this little gadget! I have a full sized Cuisinart but rarely use. Why? Limited counter space means it lives deep in a cupboard and it's just too big, heavy, and bulky to pull out for daily small jobs. Then \ along comes the Mini-Prep - the answer to my prayers! I can now chop, dice, mince, etc all those small items without having to lug out my big beast. Best of all, it is so easy to clean. <3
I LOVE this mini processor! It gets the job done quickly! Also love the color!
It's a great product, small size and it's perfect for small portions. I'm fan of this brand since 2008 .
Not much has changed in this mini food processor over the years. My old one's lid broke and no longer has replacement parts. There is a slight difference in the height of the center of the work bowl that holds the blade. They made it a bit taller so that the container will hold more liquid before overflowing. These are quite inexpensive and a great value in the kitchen. I find this small size perfect for dips and sauces.
This mini is a keeper! It's the perfect size for small kitchens. It's relatively quiet and perfect for chopping. Love that the blade can detach which is less hazardous.
I got this a gift. The first time I used it to crush dried strawberries it was awesome. Perfect size for small jobs. But be careful, the blades are super sharp and can be a little tricky to remover from the assembly. But once you get them off, it is really easy to clean. That being said, two weeks later, I went to use it for the exact same job and the stupid thing will not even power on. I have tried it on multiple outlets. Most useless thing ever! I do not recommend this item. You would be better of getting a cheaper version that actually works.
