We just upgraded from a set of appliances that were probably from the 70's. Before those we had a relatively new set of appliances at our previous home so we have experienced both old and new. This current set of GE appliances if by far, superior in every way. It has wifi connectivity and app control, which I use when I want to run my clothes through a dryer cycle to prevent wrinkles when I am ready to do laundry. It has a freaking damp-sensor that recognizes how damp the clothes are and then begins to dry the clothes at its own recommended rate. And on top of this, these machines are MEGA-QUIET. Our old machines would be heard thumping from downstairs even, and these current machines run as if they aren't even down here. Its amazing. And something that matters to us, is aesthetics. We literally appreciate these machines for how sleek and gorgeous they are. They are attractive and appealing and they make you want to stand there and stare for a minute. These machines are aesthetically pleasing, to say the least. You know you are an adult when you are actuallyEXCITED about laundry. GE has made me want to find reasons to do laundry just because I can come down and appreciate the machines every time I do so. I am genuinely overjoyed with this purchase. GE, you have succeeded in acquiring my satisfaction.
As a family with small children and pets, we do lots of laundry. This dryer has kept up with the endless loads amazingly! I love the convenience of checking the time left on the app and by asking our Google smart devices. It also holds large loads and drys all the way through with one cycle. Would buy 100 times over!
I really love that space and how much I can putin the dryer. I love that I can dry all my sheets and comforters together and not go to the laundry mat. Love the feature of am having the wrinkle care all I have to do is select and start! my only complaint was the fact we got our dryer with internal scratch on motherboard and having a hard time getting it replace due to the 3rd party seller. Other than that I love it
This is the first time I have had a washer without the agitator. I love it. It washes my clothes nicely and has never gotten off balance. I love all of the features. WiFi app, water to wash stains, I love that I am able to pour a bottle of liquid soap in and it will tell me when it's low. I love the features where it will show me how much time is left. So far this has been the best machine I have owned.
I love my new dryer. Very easy instillation and dryer works perfectly. Best thing is how quiet it is. Have only washed And dryer 6 loads of laundry but works great. Clothes are completely dry and wrinkle free. Settings are easily changed and able to be understood easily from manual.
I had my new dryer installed on July 29, 2020. So I've only been using it now for a few weeks. So far so good! I have had no issues in operating the dryer. The dryer has many settings. In addition the dryer has a steam feature which I did try and that also seems to work well. I will update my review after 6 months use and again after a year. As of right now I am satisfied with my purchase.
Very nice and easy to use. Big drum. I liked the smart Sensor and its ability to measure the load and add appropriate levels of soap. Seems like a good cost saving feature. I would say the hard part is the washer is a bit deep so I had to get a step stool. I’m 5’6”
I purchased the washer and dryer set. These appliances have many great features. I literally had to read the entire booklet to understand how every single feature worked. My dryer was making a squealing noise when I first dried a load of clothes but then I read the Troubleshooting Section and realized the dryer feet needed to be adjusted. Problem solved. I've owned a GE Profile appliance for 10 years and have never had any issues( knock on wood) so decided to stick to the same brand.
I have the same issue as the review by "A56789". The metal where the back of the drum attaches to the spindle is paper thin. It became completely fatigued and tore away from the part. Unfortunately, the dryer is just over two years old and therefore out of warranty. Very disappointed!
This is the most problematic set of a washer and dryer I've ever dealt with!!!! Only had them about 2 years and the dryer has been repaired several times and is now completely dead- receiving no power at all with the least amount of info possible on how to determine the cause and solution. Not to mention the matching washer has been draining bleach onto the floor when poured into the bleach spout so I haven't been able to use that all year either. The stupid thing alwaysssss gets off balance no matter how you situate your laundry, therefor using its “fancy” drain and spin to attempt (and fail) to balance out the laundry, in which case it's just wasting more and more of my water. The warranty on this set is absolute TRASH considering the amount of problems I've had in such a short amount of time. I will never purchase another GE appliance and regret ever spending my money on this cheaply made, disastrous, money-pit of a set.
