My daughter bought this at the holidays, had never used it before, first time was hooked, great stuff..
Rachael Ray Beef Stock is the most flavorful storebought beef stock that I've ever used. I lay in a supply of it every year for the holiday season. It's great for braising and stewing. The only suggestion for improvement that I have relates to packaging. I've never fully trusted the flexible boxes that so many liquid products use. My last order of Rachael Ray arrived in a drippy (but fragrant) mess because one of the boxes had a slow leak. All containers and the shipping box were undamaged so It seems to be a manufacturing problem.
This stock was full flavored, not too salty, and did not have alot of artificial additives.
"Cook's Illustrated" rates it the best stock.
This is the best beef stock I have ever tasted!
I wanted to try this stock because Cook's Illustrated (America's Test Kitchen) recommended it over all other boxed stocks. I couldn't find it locally, and it was waaay too expensive at Amazon. I found it at Walmart.com, and bought up as many as I could (which was 8). The experts were right, this is the best boxed stock I've ever tasted. You can actually taste the roasted beef bones. I was a little leery about buying so many online and not being able to read the expiration date first, but these are all good for a year. I've since bought 2 more shipments, and will continue to purchase regularly!
Having a devil of a time finding low sodium bone broth, tried this and a lot of others. Not the worst and better than several of the others. Too bad I can't find a market that carries beef soup bones or bony cuts of beef fo I can make my own, but it is what it is.
This beef stock is much better than any you can buy in the grocery store. If you want outstanding beef stock you will have to make it yourself, or buy some of the extremely expensive bone broths you can buy online
I have tried every beef stock available locally. This one taste more like what I expect beef to taste like and it is not too salty tasting. Good product.
The product is wonderful but the package was delivered wet from a leak in one of the boxes than completely emptied into the packaging. The other boxes were also wet on the bottom but I was able to use those. The product could have been packaged better.
