I had purchased a cute fall tablecloth and noticed my child was messing it up by sitting at the table everyday. Then I remembered my grandma had a plastic cover for this same reason and sure enough I was able to find an affordable clear tablecloth. It fits great.
We replace them as need, even if you only replace them once amonth they are a great investment to protect your things. It keeps our table looking great! It is wrinkled at first I take a blow dryer to it and it smooths out fast then letting it do it naturally. It doesn't like around easily so I like that. It will however stick to your finish if you don't life it up once a week so keep that in kind.
There is much traffic at dining table and i have used these items for years. Seems like they used to last longer. Now not so much but they are no longer available in the stores.
I need to protect tablecloths. I found just what I needed at Walmart and they were delivered quickly and such a good price
I read a view a lady brought a new table and this plastic mess it up what I do is put a towel are a sheet under it so it want mess up my table it's more supportive

This table protector is very good at doing what it's supposed to do (protect the table). The lines from the fold never come out though. I even put it in the dryer for 30 seconds and quickly put it on the table, but it did not work. The dryer makes it more wrinkly.
The plastic is clear and durable. I bought a size too large, but it just hangs over the side that isn't getting used on my table. Other reviews mentioned the creases in the plastic and a smell. Yes, initially the smell and creases exist and are a little annoying but the smell goes away after a few days...The creases haven't really gone away, but I barely notice them. Doesn't bother me.
I believe this will be very functional, and protective of my new table cloth, but I was disappointed with the huge amount of creases that it contains. I understand that it is folded for shipping, but I have had it opened out for a couple of weeks and it appears that the creases will always remain. It will certainly provide protection but will be make a less than an attractive appearance over a nice tablecloth. because of all the crease marks.
I bought a new wood table and wanted to protect it and keep it brand new. I placed this plastic cover directly over the table . The next morning there was what appeared to be a burned mark. The plastic had almost melted in one spot and it ruined the finish on the table. I thought it was maybe my husband that burned it. The next day, another mark appeared. I took it off. Now my new table is ruined.
