The 5 years warranty is also very good and nice to have. The cleaning mode is also pretty usefull. The only thing is that the accessories are too expensive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this blender! My main use is for making green smoothies and homemade nut butters. So, I want to make sure it's buttery smooth when blended. This definitely delivers. Has no issues finely blending nuts, hard fruits, and veggies. Makes them creamy and smooth in less than a minute. Compared to my Vitamix I find it takes a bit longer to make whole nuts blend smoothly. It still does but maybe 20 seconds longer. For the price cut compared to a vitamix definitely worth it though! Overall, I'm really happy with this blender and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance blender that looks great and delivers a great value. Pros: - Square sturdy body! Looks stylish and makes it easy to pour. - Pretty quiet for a high powered blender - Design-wise, it looks amazing on my counters. It has a sleek design looks modern and clean. Cons: - I find it a bit cumbersome to clean the blade portion when I make homemade peanut butter or other harder to clean products. I wish the blades were able to separate more easily for cleaning. - Wish it was glass and not plastic.

I was satisfied with overall blending capability, ease of use etc. However, I am observing couple of issues with the product that I have, the metal bearing in base throws out green grease and messes up base and jar, since it's grease it is very difficult to clean up. Also, the jar bearing is getting stiff over the time even though I follow all best practice to keep it in good running condition I hope Kitchen aid team looks at this and help to fix it in their manufacturing process.

Purchased this blender to make smoothies. it has begun shedding plastic bits into the base. We initially noticed a black substance around the edges of the bottom of the pitcher that needed to scraped off after use. Now the pitcher blade assembly becomes loose with use and moves around. When dry, it solidifies again. The blade cannot be removed to clean or tightened. The bottom of the base oozes a black tar-like substance. This is very a very disappointing product. Expected better from Kitchen Aid.
I only got the blender for 2 years, and it's now leaking and the plastic base is starting to break. Trying to find a replacement pitcher and the replacement is more expensive then buying a whole new machine. Really disappointing with this product.
