my hair really likes to pull brassy, so this one definitely didn't go silver for me, but did pull me out of the brassy zone a bit. do not feel like it lightened my hair much at all. left it on for about 35 minutes. I had one bluish area, but my son said it was cool! 😆
I have bought this dye more than 3 times online, I love the color. But this time it came well packaged on the outside, however one of the boxes was open and the conditioner was missing. The store should check carefully before sending a product to a customer.
I've used preference for 20 years. I use the medium brown number five. I naturally have a medium brown hair. I have always been very pleased with this product. However, they have recently changed the formula so beware! The last three boxes I have used have been horrible. It turns my hair an orangey brown and I can't stand orange undertones. In addition, the new formula will only last two weeks so my dye job is gone after two weeks. I'm just going to have to change to a different brand because I just can't be dying my hair every two weeks. It's not healthy. In addition, I'm not getting the color I want anyway. So what's the point? I don't understand why product manufacturers will go and, change a good thing. This is one of the top dyes on the market for over-the-counter and I don't know if they're cutting corners or what but this was a big mistake. Now I need to research what to replace my favorite dye with ☹️. The photo is two weeks after my dye. It used to dye it a rich brown. Now it's just a red mess.
I purchased 2 boxes of this dye yesterday. I have used it in the past and loved it. This time, it turned my hair orange!! It's disgusting to me. I use ash brown specifically because it isn't supposed to have red undertones.
ive used loreal excellence hair dye in the past without issue. this time i used loreal superior preference in the color 6A (light ash brown). i havent dyed my hair in years so i was dying on virgin hair. my color is a dirty blonde/light brown with alot of golden/brassy tones so my hope with this dye was to be the same or slightly darker color but use the ash to tone down the brass in my hair. This dye literally did nothingggg. If anything it actually lightened my hair or made it appear more brassy. I wasted my money, my time, and caused unnecessary damage to my hair. Will absolutely never purchase from this line again.
The package arrived incomplete. The color was missing so it cannot be used.
