I've used this on everything from hamburgers, meatloaf, and adding it to bbq sauce and it tastes great! If you're needing to make some swaps for diet or health reasons, I would highly recommend this ketchup. Don't be thrown off by the label saying it's reduced sugar and sodium because it's still loaded with flavor- I've never noticed a difference!
I thought I'd give this Great Value Ketchup with 50% less sodium and sugar a try seeing that my husband has high BP and borderline type 2 diabetes and it actually taste really good. He tried it and says that it taste good , just as good as the name brand Ketchup that we have been buying. I am glad I ordered it and will order it again because it's better for anyone that's watching their sodium and or sugar intake plus it taste great. Save some money and get a great value Ketchup that's as good or better than the higher priced ones.
This is the only ketchup I buy. It has 50 percent less sugar and 50 percent less salt! Tastes just like the other ones. If you need a diet with less sugar and salt, switch to this, also GV so lower cost. Try it!
Great Value Ketchup We love this ketchup. This ketchup is 50% lower in sugar and 50% lower in sodium. So it's pretty healthy. I use it on French fries, hamburgers, eggs (sometimes), in goulash and other recipes. It tastes zingy and sweet and tangy. I love that is saves sugar/calories and sodium/for lower blood pressure. At first, I was concerned that it wouldn't taste like the ketchup I was used to, but it is great! It's sweet enough and doesn't need extra salt added. It's thick and robust, but not too thick. It's not runny and watery. Even my child liked it. I'm sensitive to some ingredients and additives in food products, so I have to be careful with some items. This ketchup did not cause me to have any symptoms, which is an added bonus. As for value, it is a great value because it's lower priced than the name brand ketchups without sacrificing flavor. My only complaint is that I wish it came in a larger size. 19.5 ounces is large enough for some families, but my family is used to a 32 ounce size. It's okay, though, I usually just buy 2 bottles so we will be sure to have enough.
A much healthier alternative to regular ketchup but without losing the taste quality, it actually tastes maybe even better. No high fructose corn syrup or corn syrup at all, but uses tapioca syrup instead which is a much healthier way to add a little sweet. Will be purchasing this one instead of the regular one from now on and definitely recommending it to others. I also had a relative try it who is picky and they couldn't even taste the difference! Definitely try it!
It tastes good! The difference is noticeable but not what I would call bad. I think it's fascinating that you can remove half of the sugar from ketchup and have it still taste fine
My regular ketchup now, due to the high sugar and sodium content in most others…this is a much healthier alternative. Would prefer organic, but GreatValue does not offer….like Kroger does.
Watery, not as good as Heinz and spouse wouldn't use it.
My husband can have sodoum. I had selected no substitute if they didn't have the no sodium ketchup.
This is HORRIBLE! I just opened it and it is going in the dumpster! Tastes nothing like catsup...granted low sugar, low salt...but come on...make it comparable to the real stuff! GAG!!
