Had to cancel 3000 sq ft unit (would not be big enough for the job). HOWEVER, I just purchased the same Honeywell Smart Wi Fi '4000' sq ft Dehumidifier. Let me tell you, Honeywell KNOWS HOW TO MAKE dehumidifiers. The unit keeps a very damp large basement dry and smelling great and it does it very quietly!! They know their stuff... invest in one.
For some reason, the new apartment I moved into was very humid inside! I began by buying moisture absorbing bags and hanging them up. That brought the humidity down, but only a few percentage points. Doubling that would have cost too much! I saw this dehumidifier for under $100 that could take up to 50 pints of water out of the air! I put it on a flat surface near the center of my apartment and immediately saw results. The first day, I had to empty the tank 3 times...the second day, I emptied it twice! From the third day, I only have to empty it once in the evening! I was able to turn my AC up one degree to get it really comfortable in here. I had set it for 45%, but it worked so well, it became too dry! So now, at 50%, it is mostly in the 40s range, which is what I wanted! No odors now and my towels and dishes dry. I purchased this because it was Energy Star rated. I check the plug daily to make sure it isn't hot. I needed something energy efficient. I might update this when my electric bill arrives. That is the true test!
Good product for my basement
To start it was very easy to unbox. The box lifts off the top so your just left with the dehumidifier and the base of the box…so no need to pull it out. It's heavy so that made it very simple. Setup was also very easy. You remove a few items from the water tank, then install the cord holder and your ready to plug in and go. Finding the app in the app store was easy. Setup of the app was also easy it walks you through how to connect to the dehumidifier in a few steps and your done. App is straight forward and easy to use. Dehumidifier works great, I can check humidity and change settings right through the app, you can also set the timers. Note no need to setup the app if you don't want to, you can do everything on the front panel if that's the way you would rather use it. Also when I setup the app the confirmation email went to junk so be sure to check that if you don't see the email come though. Overall everything works great highly recommend.
We got this dehumidifier for our basement and always run one down there. This one has performed wonderfully for the last week we've had it down there, keeping our basement at the perfect humidity and wisking the water out of the air. We have it draining into our hot water heater drain and it's working great. Couldn't be happier with it! Thanks Honeywell!

The humidifier does its job but it's a bit loud
Air Comfort app is terrible and the registration process will not accept any passwords. All passwords fail the “no differents” password rule. Honeywell never called back to help resolve.
This does a great job at removing the moisture. Sleek looking and minimal noise. Less than 24 hours of use it ruined our trim adjacent to the dehumidifier. This was my fault as it was 10 inches from the wall and not the suggested 17 inches per manufactures. I couldn't have it in the middle of the room with young children and the cord.
Received the box in pathetic condition, seems like the product is used one and found a broken clip inside the water tank. I read fully before ordering no where its mentioned as open product otherwise I would have not purchased it. Going to return the product.
