Ok, first off. The brush is bent on purpose, it is not a quality control issue. It is hard to believe that so many folks do not realize that the reason for the bend is so you can reach to the bottom of the container. I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just pointing this fact out as you will see the product flamed with bad reviews for a convenient feature that us mechanics / DIY'ers appreciate. Second, the product is the perfect consistency for a silicone paste / grease It's not watery and it sticks to the stuff you apply it to, like it's supposed to. I'm on my second bottle after 2 years now and but I can still scrape the innards of my first bottle with the very convenient included cap brush. I mistakenly bought a different brand for cheaper recently and I had to wipe the whole bottle down every time I used it. I'm not a 3M fanboy (or any brand) by any means, but they make a quality product and I have not had issues with my purchases. One of my hobby is detailing vehicles and they have solid detailing products as well. And tape.. I go through a lot of tape.
The package arrived today in a box, which was undamaged. And, the contents appeared to be unused and intact, I have ordered this in the past with Walmart, and would order again.
I was surprised how this works it i thought i had a sticky brake caliper, it turned out the guide pins where in need of lubricant. brakes are like new now. highly recommend.
I used this product to lub my window seals on truck. It worked well.
nice big bottle, won't run out anytime soon. will use the paste to make sure transmission gasket stays put ( according to chris fix tutorials on utube ) when i change the transmission oil and filter ( filters come with the gasket included )
Reasonable price, great for garage door roller application also good for plastic and rubber
So when I went online to buy this, I looked at the reviews. I saw that somebody said their brush was bent and I was surprised that I got the same problem. The brush was bent like it was forcefully jammed in there. I don't know how 3m never addressed this issue. Their products are usually the best compared to the competition so I'm disappointed. Still a great product however
The product seems fine for a single can but the title says it is a 6 pack - which is the main reason that I bought it. It does not contain 6 cans unfortunately.
I bought this about a year ago to use on the boots of spark plugs to make removal easier. I was going to use it on another project and it hardened like silicone caulk!
3M Silicone Paste was my go-to dielectric grease for years. It used to be more expensive but thicker. Now, price has dropped to almost half and this new product is inferior in so many ways to the original formulation (which came in the metal can not this plastic jar). I am now looking for a new paste. Too bad they had to aim for the car market.
