Our daughter gave us our coffee maker with added hot water feature for Christmas and we love it. The fact that I could get rid of my stove top teapot and the ability to program it to start in the morning is also appreciated.
Well, I suppose you should know... I LOVE MY CUISINART COFFEEMAKER! What an awesome purchase. I have used both the coffee and the hot water system, and I am in love with both. My husband drinks coffee and I drink tea. Stumbled upon this product while looking for a Christmas gift for our son. We received this as a gift and love using it each day. We've only been using it for a little over a month. We hope it holds up as well as the previous products we replaced it with!
This is my 2nd Cusinart Coffee Plus 12 cup Programmable coffeemaker plus Hot water system. My first one lasted almost 5 years and I wanted another of the same when my first one finally gave out. I enjoy having the water system that heats up the water immediately. A winner for sure !
I am a tea and coffee drinker this is perfect for that. As well just to heat up cup a noodles type fishes it hot chocolate the heated water dispenser is top notch. Having the water filters in each reservoir is great, just hope there are replacments in 5 years!
I purchased this coffeemaker in January and have been very pleased. Makes great coffee and has nice features on the machine and is easy to use. The water chamber is narrow so I use a measuring cup with a long narrow spout to reach into the chamber. No spillage that way. Use Cuisinart measuring spoon for measuring coffee and maybe half a scoop more. I tried another scoop but found the coffee to be too strong.
I bought this because I have only ever had a one cup at a time coffee maker because my husband drinks coffe and I drink tea. Well, we were empty nesters but the chicks have come home so we needed a actual pot of coffee every morning! This has a timer!!! I put coffee in the filter push the auto button and Wha-lah coffee is ready and waiting by 7am! And I always have hot water for tea!!! (and the occasional hot cocoa and peppermint schnapps)!!! It's wonderful!!! It's easy to clean and doesn't take up a lot of room!! I love, love, love it!!!!
We love this coffeemaker! After 4 rigorous years of usage we recently purchased a new one… however the new one has a warped lid.and water collects on the top of it. I returned for a new one but same issue. So we like the convenience of having hot water for tea and cocoa available in cans a coffee maker together .. only one on the market like it!
This coffee maker works great! I love being able to adjust how long the coffee will keep warming and the temp it will keep warming at. The on demand hot water function works great and holds a decent amount of water. This is my 2nd Cuisinart purchase and would definitely recommend this to anyone. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was a cosmetic issue due to the lid on the coffee side being warped on one side. It doesn't affect the function just looks bad.
I wanted this product to work soooo bad! but unfortunately those reviews about the hot water dispenser producing water tainted with the smell and taste of plastic is accurate. The hot water side produces steaming hot water in about 3 minutes but no matter what I tried… vinegar rinses, a baking soda solution, running more than twenty cycles of fresh water through the unit…the plastic taste persists. I'll note that the plastic aroma is less noticeable if you pour the water in to the unit, wait for it to heat and dispense it immediately. If you leave it in the unit for a prolonged duration it will be tainted. On the other side of the machine, the coffee pot works well and I like the controls. I was disappointed to see that after about 2 months of routine use (1 morning pot of coffee per day), the black paint on the burner has started to chip away. Based on previous experiences, that will lead to rust in due time.
