This is the perfect appliance for saving time in the kitchen, in the breakfast area. I am an extremly busy person. Time is a very valuable commodity. This device completely speeds up time for a quick grab it and go breakfast. Add the water, add the eggs, plug it in. Continue with what else i was doing while it makes my eggs, or mixed egg creations similar to what is offered at popular coffee shops, and for a lot less money, and no lines to stsnd in. Perfect! The Hamilton Beach Egg Bites Maker is one amazing product. You can now make great, high protein egg bites for home or work that taste much better than those you can get at coffee shops. The device is very well designed and easy to use. I followed the instructions for the egg bite mixture, adding my own spices. In 10 minutes I had two very fluffy and tasty egg bites! What joy. The egg bites do have a tendency to collapse a bit as they cool, similar to a souffle. But they still taste great. I also put the egg bite maker through several other tests. I used the "egg white only" mixture you can buy. I mixed in chopped ham, chopped green onion, and spices. I filled the egg bite cups to the max line, and in 10 minutes I had two incredibly fluffy and tasty breakfast bites. This maker produces egg bites just as tasty as coffee shop bites, if not more so. I made a few extra, and they reheated nicely the next day. Now I have take away breakfast meals I can reheat at work. Very portable. Clean up was quick and easy. Nothing seems to stick to the surfaces of the egg bite maker. A couple things to note. Use distilled water if you want to avoid hard water build up in the reservoir. The electric cord is a bit short, so you might need an extension cord if you have an oddly shaped kitchen like mine. And be careful where you place the egg bite maker, as it does produce a healthy amount of steam. I tried making the poached eggs, but ended up with hard cooked eggs. Use this feature with caution. Overall, the egg bite maker is one fun kitchen tool, and turns out a tasty and wonderful product. I will be saving a lot of extra money now that I can make my own egg bites. My family and I absolutely love this! We eat a lot of eggs and this is a perfect and a fun new way to make them up. We enjoy creating our own flavors and the serving size of 2 egg bites is just perfect per person. The unit is small and easy to store, super easy to clean, nice design, simple to use (very detailed instructions) and makes perfect egg bites quickly. We seem to average from cracking the egg to dishing the egg bites up to take about 12 minutes start to finish. I also like the red and green lights on the front to let you know when they are done. We have not made poached eggs, but we have made multiple egg bites with various additions; cheese, sausage, onion, salt, pepper, bacon and all have worked out well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bites maker is so convenient! I used it for both the bites and to make hard boiled eggs. It makes good sized egg bites quickly. If you want to make more than 2 you do have to let it cool in between batches. The hard boil eggs take about 12 minutes and is way easier that having to get out a big pot to boil them. It has lightson the front to let you know when they are done. It would be nice if it would make a noise once complete so you didnt just have to watch the light. Other than that, its awesome. It is very compact, and easy to store.
This egg maker is great! It feels very sturdy and well built compared to other products similar to this that I have used. I made poached eggs using the water levels that came with the maker, and I will be using less water as we like very easy eggs. But the levels given have given me a place to start. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setup was easy and my first batch of Egg Bites was much simpler and quicker than I thought it would be. The footprint of this maker is pretty small (a plus) but the electric cord is just 24" so be prepared to move things around to plug in this cooker. My Egg Bites came out just under 10 minutes which allows a 2nd batch to be cooked while the first batch is brought to the table. And making 6 eggs is much faster than bringing a full pot of water to boil on the stove. And I like there's much less water and energy used for perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs.

I used one of the recipes provided with the book, The recipe was simple with just a few ingredients, I poured the egg mixture in the cups and within minutes they were done. The egg bites were so good, I will be making a lot more of these and I love the I can also use to to make soft, medium and hard boiled eggs. No more buying egg bites, or boiling a pan of water to cook eggs. I would highly recommend the Hamilton Beach Egg Bites Maker!
This is very convenient for making egg bites for my daughter. Shes very picky on how she likes her eggs and these makes them perfectly fluffy. It's easy to use and easy to clean. Two downsides. I wish the lid was connected and it produces a lot of steam. I wouldnt recommend using on a counter under your cabinet. Other than that, it's great. It's a little confusing to set up the separate egg cooking options. I wish there was an alarm sound rather than just a light notifying that it's done. I had several weepy egg bites, not very appetizing. I did “hard boiled eggs”,come out somewhat medium in the middle. I think practice would help with the egg bites I hope it gets better with time.
Doesn't cook eggs evenly, leaves them soggy. Bought this to save time on cooking egg bites but was just a waste of money. Better off using a silicone ring on a stove to cook egg bites or baking eggs in a muffin pan.
