Got mine in Red. Its Quiet & now my go to blender. I managed to chop/puree 1 onion, 4 garlic and some ginger to stir fry my veggies since 90% of my cooking is Asian style, and it did a fine job. Using my old chopper is not as great since such a small quantity does not get choped up well and only splatters the stuff to the side wall of the chopper and oh is that chopper so high pitched and noisy. Only issue I have with the Kitchenaid hand blender is that I struggle to remove the blender from its body after use
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Although the picture showing does not match the one I have I am loving it. I have the red one that matches the rest of my Kitchenaid appliances I especially love the guard to protect my Teflon Pam's. I had an old one from a different brand but yours exceeds all that it was able to do.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received as a Christmas gift, because my other one was over 20 years old and gave out. I am enjoying my new one, just wish there was bag to keep it all together. So I put it in the pocket of my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer cover mate cover.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Great stick blender. Love the variable speed! Operates unexpectedly quietly. So far used to purée tomatoes, and did the job quicker than I expected.
It's blends really well and is pretty quiet. BUT I worry that the detachable plastic guard won't last long before it breaks. The blending end is all metal and will scratch your pot/bowl without it because the force of the blending pulls it downward. Other that that concern, it's lovely. And quite aesthetically pleasing. :)
Nice blender for small daily preparations. Waffles, creams and sauce.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The plastic spacer breaks easily & the unit itself overheats within minutes
Looks pretty, nice powder ice blue aquamarine. It's OK, but doesn't have as much power as I expected it to for a KitchenAid. The plastic guard that it comes with to protect surfaces upon which you're blending in is very flimsy. It has a totally metal blade unlike my previous one though, so that's good. Not worth full price, wait for a sale!
The blender seems to work great but the pan guard fell apart in its first use ruining my soup with plastic all through out
The “patented” safety guard should be pulled off shelves immediately. I followed instructions and made sure it was secure and it STILL fell off and blended plastic all into my baby's purée. Dumped the whole thing. Waste of time, energy, money, food but most importantly it is UNSAFE for usage. BUYER BEWARE… blender is fine, blade is clearly very sharp… scratched the plastic container it came with and would most definitely scratch my pans. I thought a hand blender would be convenient but actually it's not worth ruining my pans and/or eating plastic.
