The range arrive not working. Service was out the next day. A plug was loose to the control panel. Since then, it works great. Does a pork roast in less than 40 minutes. Looks great and works as advertised. Also, connects to my smart phone and tells me what is happening with it! Worth the price.

Power Boil

The gas stove/slide in works fine. The power boil is a nice feature but I wish there wasn't two power boils in the front. Sometimes you don't want to cook things too fast so you don't burn things. The oven works good. I am still experimenting on the other features. I have used the air fryer once.

Not going great so far

The product is ok. I've used the stove top, in this first week. However, when boiling water for corn, some spilled over onto the stove top. There is now a watermark that I can't remove. This shouldn't happen during the first week of use. Or ever. I have a photo, but can't seem to attach it here. Also, the bottom drawer for the cooking pots is very cheaply made, and it doesn't slide smoothly along the guides. I bought this on sale and thought I was getting a great deal. Perhaps not.

Love it,But cracks in touch screen!!

Brought the range in December I truly enjoy it but I noticed in April the touch screen has already started cracking and that's disappointing. I hope it doesn't affect the buttons.

Nice looking range, love the burner control. Disappointed it did not come with an operators manual. Yes it is online but that is a disappointing experience. Control panel quality is lacking. The button overlay does not fit neatly (saw same issue on display model). Love the various cook features for the oven especially the air fryer mode. The app is a waste of time.

NICE RANGE WITH A COUPLE OF ISSUES
(3)
Reviewed in the USA on 2018-03-07T16:00:00

Appearance: The range looked like the online pictures so there were no surprises. The unit is not too heavy. The grates and racks fit well. The racks operated easily. The brushed stainless matches our stainless décor. One minor appearance issue is the door and drawer handle support are a bright chrome vice the brushed stainless of the rest of the cabinetry. That breaks the visual flow of the brushed stainless somewhat and the reflections can catch your eye. Operation: Some options are not visible on the control panel and require the owner's manual to access/activate. A novice to igniter type gas ranges should remember to turn the burner knobs past Lite once the burner ignites, otherwise the spark generator continues to click. The simmer setting for the burners is incredibly low, much better than on our old gas range. The convection oven is a nice feature. Our first evening my wife cooked a four-burner meal and was very pleased with the range-top operation, remarking specifically about the excellent simmer ability. I used the griddle a few days later to make some French toast and scrambled eggs and found the non-stick aluminum center insert worked well. Cleanup of the griddle was very easy and the spatter onto the stainless surface was also easy to clean. Less satisfactory points: I made cinnamon-cheese toast using the broiler function and found two noticeable flaws in the oven design and operation. First, visibility into the oven is not good. The pierced metal grating inside the window is hard to see through. Even with the light on, it's difficult to see inside the oven. Further, if you are broiling on the top rack it is almost impossible to see the food. Part of this is because of the pierced metal grate, but more significant is the top rack slot is above the window opening. Only by squatting down and turning my head could I see the bread on the baking sheet. And then I could only see the crust edge of the bread, not the top where the broiling was occurring. To see the top of the bread I had to open the oven door. This revealed the second issue. If the oven door is open too long, like more than a quick glance, the burner turns off. When I opened the oven door and pulled the rack out to check broiling progress, then pushed it back in and closed the door, the broiler burner turned off. I assume this is some type of safety issue although I have broiled food with the oven door open on almost all my previous ranges. As a result, a rather quick toasting operation ended up taking 3 times longer. The shutoff feature was exacerbated by the ignition method for the broiler. The broiler uses a glow coil to ignite the burner. When the burner turned off the glow coil had to heat up to re-light. This compounded the time required to finish the broiling operation. I considered moving the rack to a lower position to see better, but that would have further lengthened the cook time. I downloaded and printed the manual to see if there was a way to defeat the broiler cut-off but didn't find anything. In general, the poor visibility into the oven, and the quick cut-off of the broiler burner when the door is opened made this range less than 5-star.

Cheap Touchscreen failing after one year of use
(2)
Reviewed in the USA on 2024-07-25T17:00:00

Touchscreen is cheap and starting to bubble and crack. First noticed this only a year into use and it has only gotten worse by 18 months. We only use mild soap and water to clean and the surface coating has started to peel. Looks like this is a common issue across multiple reviews, but no solutions offered by GE.

Less than 7 months old and already the control panel is cracking. Seems to be common with this model.
