(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I used the plastic bags for the chicken breast and meat. The vacuum is easy to use and vent out the air. and easier for me to organize the freezer.
These are wonderful! Amazing! Really, really fun and easy. Improvement suggestions: 2 different sized lips on the bags so that they are easier to separate and open. Not everyone has nails and great vision. Also, more smaller bags and containers are needed.
I've had the Zwillings Fresh & Save Starter Kit for a few weeks now and I'm beyond impressed. It's extended the life of my food and saved me money. The vacuum sealer is fast and strong, literally sealing the bags/glass containers in seconds. Unlike the bulky, heavy food savers I've used in the past, this is light and compact, making it super easy to store in a small drawer. I use the kit weekly for food prep (marinating meat, storing my chopped fruits and vegetables) and I also love storing my cheeses in the bags keeping them free from mold. I highly recommend this kitchen essential!

I love everything about the new Zwilling Fresh & Save. I cannot get over how easy the vacuum sealer is, how quickly it works and how quiet it is. The containers and bags give me enough options to choose from depending on the type of food I am looking to seal. The bonus of the App that you can download onto your phone to help you keep on top of when your food will go back is life changing. As a busy mom, this makes my life a heck of a lot easier. You should buy this product, you will not regret it :-)
I just received my starter kit with freebies as part of their promotion. As I opened one on the free lunch box container, I was disgusted by a curly hair that looks like freshly plucked from their private. Ewww.. this is where I'm gonna put our food! Gosh! I am just speechless.
I am puzzled regarding this pump. Worked great until liquid got involved. The liquid barrier is not working. The pump got shorted and everything inside is covered in liquid. How is it possible to use it as sous vide? Zero liquid?
I have a set of the pump and bag set for years, which have been durable and functional. However, I am very disappointed by the poor quality of the new bag sets I've recently purchased. Just after 1 month of gentle use of these bags to store small produce, the bag zipper track started to rip apart, and would not seal. The defective bag sets simply defeat the purpose of the design...
