This beats the air fryer, multi-cooker, and sous vide that I bought and don't use. It's easy to useable easy to clean. It's a one pot wonder. I wish the steamer basket was non-stick because steamed chicken tends to stick and then is a little difficult to clean.
Purchased this product for a summer home with a small kitchen and limited storage space. Was skeptical from reading some reviews but also optimistic due to the 'Best/Highly Recommended' rating from America's Test Kitchen. I've used at least 6 of the programmed recipes, each came out perfect. Also made modifications to the programmed recipes to add or change ingredients. Easy to use IF you take the time to read the instruction book first. I'm now experimenting with using my own recipes. The combination food processor and cooker is definitely a time saver once you get the hang of it. Also saves on dish washing pots and pans. So pleased that I am probably going to buy one for my primary residence.
I actually got the Cuisinart knife set but the program wouldn't let me chose that. Excellent quality with a sharpener to keep them like new and such a great variety of knives. The perfect set of knives for any household.
Overall, expensive and not sure I will use half the functions.
Having had other cusinart food processors I was impressed with the design of this product. It is easier to clean the parts and is more user friendly. the motor base is not as heavy as my other cusinart so I hope the motor lasts. but as just a food processor I like it better than other cusinarts I have owned. the cooking aspect is good. have tried several of the pre-programmed recipes some turned out great others just so so. I find it easier to print out the recipe from the web site so I can get organized before starting to cook. that's the good. the bad is the processor I received had an intermittent software error that did not always allow me to proceed to next step. after a couple of days of frustration of finding anyone at the cusinart phone help who even knew of the product I was finally able to get a warranty return and shipped the unit back. A new one arrived quicker than expected and so far works correctly.
Excellent tool. Makes me a much better cook. But needs an app or website to index you towards recipes and tells you where they are on the unit
I love the way it dices, slices and shreds. I haven't been really successful with the purée function. I think a differently angled blade might be better, but maybe it's just me. I've cooked tomato sauce and mashed potatoes which came out great. I love being able to do it all in one machine. I‘d like more recipes and more accessible recipes. It is great having them programmed, but while creating a grocery list and meal planning I'd rather have something I can read without hauling out the machine and turning it on. Overall, it is a great machine.
Cooks really well! Disappointed in some of the materials used (I had a piece break within the first week, and the plastic pieces stain easily), but the included recipes are great. Just wish they were on an app or website too, so I wouldn't have to scroll for the ingredients on the little screen when I'm meal planning.
Currently just sent it out for repair... Great when it works but the locking nut won't stay secure on the work bowl base causing the hub to come loose and leaving a hole in the bottom of the work bowl. Also the locking lid is really challenging to get on and off for someone who uses a food processor a lot due to a disability effecting my left side. When it does work it is a great tool.
