Used it for about 4 or 5 times so far so this obviously a long time review. Happy so far, though. Good product.
I had a vacuum sealer for years and it finally played out. After checking out several vacuum food sealers I decided to purchase the Nutrichef sealer because of the reasonable price. I have already sealed several packages of meat for our freezer and after some trial and error got the sealer to work great. Looking forward to using this sealer for many years. We love how our frozen food last so much longer when vacuum sealed.
WOW! This thing is amazing! Sucked out literally all the air and turned my bag of smoked chile peppers into a rock! I love it!
Great Product
This is my first time ever using one of these items, so far I am pleased with what this vacuum sealer can do. I can't wait to get into more sealing.
Overall the unit is good. The instructions were basically non-existent. It took a moment to figure it out. Latching the top means the buttons on the side must pop out not in. For those like me who also use a zip lock type bag, it will be helpful if you have an old hand held unit. The part that is supposed to seal against the bag is hard plastic, not a rubber type of seal. Whoever the ding dong was that thought that would work needs to try again. Testing a product does wonders. Otherwise, once you have figured the operation out, the unit works very well and is very quiet. Even considering the drawbacks, I would recommend purchasing this product.
The instructions were simple and the sealer was easy to use. I find that when making a bag for storing multiple pieces, I can leave the bag a little longer than normal, cut off the seal to remove a piece and then reseal the bag. Very convenient and better than baggies to preserve freshness of bulk purchases
This vacuum sealer is user friendly and seals things very nicely. The only negative so far is that the lid is a little bit hard to close correctly. I am very happy with this product.
Worked great when I tried it as soon as it arrived. When I did finally need it to work it vacuumed 4 bags then nothing. Still seals but no vacuum. I even waited a while in case it needed to "cool down". Still nothing. It sounds like it is vacuuming but isn't. It has been 2 months since I received so cannot return. So I used it once, 4 bags, before it quit. Now I'm out $64. Even tried to exchange at Walmart, but since this was sold by a third party, no luck there.
It would only work about 50% of the time, other 50% it would seal but not vacuum. It also would not latch with gently pushing down on the top,you had to give it a tap. I will be returning for a refund. I've owned several Food Saver brands in the past and will be going back with that brand.
