[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I had been looking at several baby gates for awhile now and weren't sure which kind we wanted to get. My honest to God's opinion is that this baby gate is absolutely wonderful. It is made of heavy duty metal and is tall which keeps my dogs at bay while my daughter is in the living room. It doesn't bend or bow under the dog's weight when they lean against it either. My daughter can stick her hands through the gate and "pet" the dogs, without me having to worry about her potentially getting hurt with the dogs running around her when she's crawling and playing. I can now keep my mobile baby girl in an enclosed area where I know she is safe. The gate comes with everything you need to install and set it up and includes easy to follow instructions. There are plastic stoppers to keep the metal parts of the gate from ruining your paint or your walls. The feature that I love the most is that I can easily open the infant gate with one hand. A simple slide of the button and lift on the gate and it's open. This has come in handy more times than I can count when I'm carrying my daughter and only have one free hand. I have used other summer infant products in the past and have never been disappointed with the quality... And this gate isn't any exception either. I really like that this gate was designed with mother and baby in mind. It is sleek and stylish, but designed for convenience and functionality, too. It's the best of both worlds. I would say if you're on the fence about whether or not to purchase this product- to just go for it. You will not be disappointed. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently with a crawling baby I have had a hard time trying to keep an eye on him and do my school work or cook without him getting into the kitchen. I knew I needed something structured and sturdy, also easy to get through. The baby gate is really just that, I can open it with a push of the lock and I haven't had any safety related issues. I really liked the elegant look of this gate, as well as the height. I placed the gate in a more narrow entrance of the kitchen, building it was pretty simple with the help of dad. The gate is very sturdy and locks pretty much into place wherever you set it. My son didn't like it at first, but he eventually got used to it. He did stand up on it and thankfully it has not fallen over or hurt him. I've been receiving compliments on the gate from my mom and sister, they really enjoy the build of it, as do i.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know when it's Summer Infant, the product quality will always be amazing. I really like the sturdiness of the product once it was installed. I like that It came with extensions to fit different spaces. Of course construction of a home can be off a bit, my frame was a hair smaller than the gate. So I had to leave some parts off to make it fit. That was my only concern, however, we were able to make it work. It gave me peace of mind knowing that the dual locking mechanism is easy to slide yet complex enough for my very curious infant (supported stander) to figure out. Overall, the gate is built very durable and looks nice with the aesthetic of our home. I am sure we will be using this gate well into toddlerhood!

The gate was very easy to assemble it only took me 25 mins. Directions are easy to follow I would recommend this to first time parents. I also love how tall the gate is makes it look elegant to me, matching my house.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted an extra safety gate to install in a door frame with a door for my son who is transitioning to a big boy bed from a crib. We don't want him wandering the halls or finding his way into our room at night, so this was the perfect solution. This gate was so easy to install (seriously took about 2 minutes), and I am very impressed so far! It comes with the optional extender piece, which I didn't need, but is nice to have if we ever decide to move this elsewhere.
This gate works really well and serves its purpose. At first I was a bit confused as to why the gate looked slated but if you read the instructions carefully, it states that it will look like this and then look “normal” when installed. It comes with wall mounts but can also be used without it as long as the screws attached to the gate are secured properly. I find it some times gets a bit stuck sometimes but not sure if it's just me or a product issue
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great safety gate! It was very easy to install without tools. It required no assembly and was installed within minutes. We have placed it on the door to the nursery to keep our dog from coming in while we play with the baby on the floor and do tummy-time. This way, we can still look and see out to the hallway, but the dog does not come in. Eventually we will place it in different areas of the house, to keep the baby safe while he crawls and explores. I like that the gate is sturdy and it looks great! It fits well with our decor that includes a lot of black furniture. It is easy to open and close, even with just one hand. The only thing is that when we close the door to the nursery, the top of the gate is at the exact same height as the door handle, so you have to push the handle upwards to open. I am very pleased with this gate, and would definitely recommend it to others!
This gate can be a safety tripping hazzard. Has bar across the floor you have to step over. I tripped and my daughter also tripped even though we knew the bar was there. Not good especially around seniors. Had to return and gate a swing gate with no bar to trip on.
Have two of the summer gates and BOTH have parts (33380-04) have broke and have been "out of stock" for replacemen?!! Faulty, horrible pieces to be on a SAFETY GATE!
