This is a nice item for a good price....
Great for younger minds to see if science is the field for them.
I purchased the combo for my granddaughter who is interested in science, The two items work perfectly and gave me the opportunity to spend quality and learning time with my granddaughter. We looked at the moon and ave examined in detail leaves, ants and bacterias in water. i ighly recommend it, and the price is a grat value
Bought this for an 8 year old for Christmas.. Returned it before she opened it. Thought it was a good deal because of tele/micro combo. However, took it back because I bought another telescope with better power (90x/120x) and a full-size tripod for less.
On the pics looks solid, but no... is more cheap plastic and go figure out how to put it together... No instructions at all ... the Telescope is a MEH... same for the microscope more cheap plastic all the way .. good luck trying to see something... for the price is MEH..
Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking the old adage would be true with this but it was. It's all light duty plastic, the microscope doesn't focus well at all. I tried to look at the stars, on a clear night, with the telescope and couldn't see anything. My 8 year old daughter was pretty disappointed because she really wanted to see the stars.
Low quality equipment and the telescope doesn't work. Our daughter never saw one star. Now we're hoping it snows so she can see that. Do not buy!
I had to return. We could not see ANYthing through the microscope....as in NOTHING. All of the adults at the party tried and it was impossible. We didn't even try the telescope as I had to box everything back up to take it home with me to return. We had a very disappointed little boy on our hands!
