This role was perfect for Brad Pitt. The timing may not have been. BP looks tired and run down and his personal struggles may have affected his performance. The should have developed his character better. I like space travel movies immensely and this went as far as the mind could imagine. The space program was perfectly described as routine yet there were things you never thought of. Why Donald Sutherland? Casting was just wrong.
