My husband and I both purchased one 2 years ago and we are still using it today and for a couple of trips we plan on taking in the future. We pack the minimal we need and just figure on going to laundy-mats more often. Its been a great way to meet the locals and get insider tips for the best attractions and restaurants. We love the open space inside and the front zippers are great for storing the things you need to accese most often while on the road.
I love this bag, it's large enough to carry all my stuff while traveling, and fits under the seat just fine, even on a commuter jet. I bought it on my trip home to make my life easier while traveling and so happy with it. I need to return it though because there is no laptop sleeve to protect. I have a 15.6 laptop and it fit with plenty of room. I suppose if I bought a laptop sleeve it would work fine. It stands up by itself, and doesn't topple over when full. Super lightweight for such a good sized bag. Pockets are all in convenient places too, easy access for boarding passes, water bottle, and just your stuff. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the laptop going unprotected inside. again, that could be fixed if you have a sleeve. Great bag, handle retracts smoothly and quiet when rolling. I'm 5-6 and length of handle was just right.
The size of this bag is PERFECT on the back of our motorcycle, however, the durability leaves a bit to be desired: I've now stitched for the second time (3 trips with 3 different rips) so I can use it on my next trip. Hubby has said throw it away... but I just love the size : Please encourage the manufacturer to use a little more durable stitch and attaching fabric at the handles. It rips at the top quite easily. So... I've stitched it w/upholstery thread again! Hope it holds. It just doesn't handle anything rough...probably isn't suppose to...wish I could find one just the same size that was more durable as well as reasonable.
My son used it one day and it started to come apart. I returned it for a full refund. It may have been just the one we received but I didn't want to try another.
I bought this backpack 1 year ago, and have had to return it 4-5 times! The straps' plastic grommets are attached to the backpack's bottom with cheap cloth. The cloth keeps breaking--and it always seems to happen when I'm traveling. THIS IS A SERIOUS ENGINEERING FLAW, NOT JUST A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. Walmart has EXCELLENT return policies, and they always replace it. But it's a real hassle. It is a beautiful, Jeep-branded product, though. So if you value form over function, be a sucker and buy it. But I will certainly never buy a Jeep SUV if this lousy backpack exemplifies Jeep/Chrysler engineering!
