Great value. Easy to assemble. Chairs are well built and very solid and heavy. Table is lighter I guess so you can move it easily. With a pub height table the chairs are harder to get into because your feet don't touch the ground. You have to place the chairs where you want them, get in them, and then lift the table next to the chairs to put in front of you. This is the only drawback. The chairs are so heavy you can't slide them while you are sitting in them even after I put plastic sliders at the bottom of each leg.
The chairs are very solidly constructed which, as others have written, make them a tad heavy. You'll have to adjust how you sit in order to get close enough to the table, since they are near impossible to move once you are seated. Assembly is straight forward, and definitely speeded if you have a hex head for a ratchet wrench as I do. Assembly with the included hex wrenches would surely result in sire hands and wrists, if not blisters. Both chairs are packed into a single box, which was extremely heavy and consequently banged up in delivery. Fortunately the chairs themselves was unscathed. It would he better to package the chairs into separate boxes for shipping. The table is much less sturdy than the chairs, but adequate. As another review stated, there is a gap in the stain/finish where the table top slats meet the table edge. Since I expect I'll give these pieces a coat of teak oil once a year to extend their life, that's not a big deal to me, but may be to others.
This is the worst thing I have ever assembled!!! The bolts are too large for the holes and makes it difficult to screw in. In the process several bolts stripped and now they are stick about 3 inches out! I would return it but I can't I assemble it!! Also, the chairs are very heavy. You can't just scoot them up to the table easily. DO NOT BUY!!
I've assembled a lot of things in my years but this was absolutely the most difficult!! I have blisters all over my hands from using the screw wrench to put in the bolts (and I've only done 1 chair!!). Why was this not designed with regular screws so one could use an electric screwdriver to install????? The instructions were incomplete and very poor. Be sure to carefully put the seat in the proper direction on the chair. The wood is dull and there are places were the paint is missing. If this wasn't so hard to ship back I would have done it in a heartbeat. Not happy with this product at all.
DO NOT BUY. Within the first month of having the table and chairs outdoors, two of the chairs cracked from people sitting on them. Thankfully, they replaced when I called customer service. However, a week later the table top started to split and splinter. Customer Service was no help as I was a week out of the 30 day period when they would replace. By the end of the summer, I had only one out of four chairs that was not broken. Its possible I got a defective set, but I would not buy this again. I was and still very disappointed in this purchase especially considering the price. Very fragile and breaks easily, DO NOT BUY
