This is our second Wireless Weather Station. We had our first Weather Station for 6 years. When it became time to purchase another one, we looked and found the same kind.
I got one of these from an old roommate a few years back as a gift. I really loved it. So when I moved and lost it I got a new one. it keeps great time and the temp is always right and it updates it self within one minute of a temp change. I tested it by putting it in the fridge. The outdoor senor works great also, it stands up with the rain or a hot sunny day, it never stopped working.
Product was totally impossible to read unless you nearly had your nose up to the front of the instrument. The glass covering the front of the instrument did not possess any non-glare capabilities and nothing could be seen except glare unless specifically in a correct postion to view the face. The numbers were very dark and there was no back lighting in the instrument and thus it could not be read unless directly infront of the face and very close. It was impossible to read unless very close and directly in line with the instrument face. Not at all exceptable for the cost of the instrument so it was returned as considered to be very dissatisfying!
The display is hard to see. Even at the maximum LCD setting, the contrast is not very strong against the grayish background. On previous versions of this product, the background was much lighter making the text far easier to see. The second problem with the display is the plastic cover is highly reflective causing a glare. Finally, the display is just plain too small especially given the contrast and reflection problems. I would strongly advise AGAINST buying this product.
