I purchased three of these and have one outdoor sensor reporting to the three stations around the house. The system is working well at all locations. I particularly like the AA size cells, as my prior units used AAA which ran down too quickly.
Purchase this product to replace a another brand wireless weather station. Both weather stations operated on the same basis, do like the fact the new LaCrosse Weather Station has DST and the time will sync automatically with the U S Atomic Clock. The display for the outside temp could have been slightly larger and the outdoor sensor could have had a digital display like the one I replaced. Over all the new LaCrosse Weather Station works great, fits nice with the existing furniture. Price can't be beat for this type of station.
This was a gift for my husband for our anniversary. He has had a Lacrosse weather station for many years. It finally stopped functioning and he missed having it in his office. I purchased the new one and the only thing that surprised me was the smaller size of base unit. His other unit was considerably larger and easier to read. He didn't seemed to be bothered by the size difference and was please to have his weather station back in his office.
This is my 2nd LaCrosse indoor/outdoor thermometer. The first one lasted a long time. The new one has more features including the humidity which I think is pretty neat. It appears to be well made, not cheesy. I would highly recommend this product.
after you get the hang of it! I previously bought a different weather station which I had to return to the source because I absolutely couldn't understand the directions. This one is simpler but still has the readings that I wanted. It has only been in use for a week but appears to be working accurately. I would recommend the Lacrosse brand. My old Lacrosse weather station finally gave up after 10 years in our harsh Maine climate. I hope this new one does as well!
I bought this unit as a gift, and the recipient just loves it. It seems to be very accurate and the wood grain on the sides helps blend it into the décor. The only thing that could make my rating excellent on all levels, is if this item was made in the USA.
Functions as expected but I was expecting larger. My fault and I will keep it for the price. If functions as expected will buy another larger version perhaps with full blown barometer. Design should do away with trim and have larger info. letters etc.
I read the reviews before purchasing this item, but I was very is disappointed as kthe #s were so small and difficult to see especially with old eyes! There is no backlight and you cannot see this in the dark! I am DEFINATELY going to order my trusted & true LL Bean weather station! The reason I didn't order LL Bean is because they were out of stock until Jan 21st!!
Probably my fault but I didn't see anything about how small this was! Can't read unless you're very close. We expected to put it on the wall and see it from our dining room table, but not possible. Also, it was somewhat difficult to program. Disappointed overall.
Not reliable. Worked when I first installed the batteries. Synched the transmitter (outside) unit with the received (inside) unit and it worked for about a day after placing it outside. It stopped working. I brought the sending and receiving units back together and pulled the batteries to reset the units. Placed them side by side and the receiver could not find the transmitter. Brought the package back to store for refund.
