I love this set because I'm just starting out and these are just the knives I need in my small kitchen. These light-weight knives are perfect and the handles are really comfortable. I use the chef's knife for almost everything and the paring knife is great for all my small jobs.
Bought as gift for grandson's first apartment. He liked them quite a lot!
This is an amazing little pair of knives! The only thing you really need to add on is a serrated knife but otherwise, the paring and chef knives are your workhorses in the kitchen. The comfort of the bellied Statement handles make for knives that are perfectly weighted and balanced.
Love my knives. Been looking for good sharp and easy to handle knives and I'm happy to have found it.

Ordered a chefs knife that came with a paring knife. It was for my Son's Birthday, he does alot of cooking. He just loves them says they are comfortable in his hand so I am thrilled ! I will be looking into some Steak Knives and Paring Knives for myself soon.
Name is kindred to quality wherever you see these, you can not go wrong, pick these up if your an inspiring chef, watch your fingers, they are sharp to the touch, German Steel.
This is a good value to get you started in the kitchen. The chef knife can handle more of your bigger cuts as well as slicing and dicing, and your pairing knife can handle your small cuts. This is a very basic set that will get most things done in the kitchen at a value price.
I am so disappointed in this 2 piece Henckels chef knife set. I knew these weren't the more expensive Zwilling (twin) marked knives, but these are NOT sharp at all. I have a 30 year old Wüsthof paring knife (inherited from my German parents) that holds a better edge. Heck, I have a butter knife that cuts better. The reason for my purchase of these was to replace a few older J.A. Henckel knives from years ago. While I didn't expect these to last as many years, these"International" (single stick man logo) versions are horrible. I can't recommend them at all. In my opinion the company is damaging their reputation and name by selling them.
