The look of this armoire was exactly what I was looking for. I looked for months for a reasonably-priced black armoire with clean lines. When I opened the box, the styrofoam was in thousands of pieces - which inevitably led to a few scratches on the piece. No big deal. Easily fixable! You could tell the piece had been touched up with a black marker before it left the warehouse. The paint sheen doesn't match all over. Not all of the screws with the locks on them actually work. One of the legs is loose and I can't tighten the two that need tightening. As long as you keep perspective on where you're buying it from and how inexpensive it is, you will like it. I am using it in a rarely-used guest room and it will work out just fine once I buy glue to hold the leg together.
From a distance this looks great. It has an excellent amount of storage and wasn't too difficult to put together. However, the drawers don't line up right when closed and neither do the doors. Also, there are a few places that needed some touch up straight out of the box. I wouldn't say that this is a quality long lasting piece of furniture, but it will look good and serve you well for shorter period of time.
No instructions included. The black finish was worn on all edges. Holes did not match up and so the T-locks would not lock.
