Found this brand and fan after doing a quick Google search. This had several high ratings and now I see why! It is very powerful but compact. The simple design doesn't make it too much of an eye sore. I know I will appreciate it when summer hits (I don't have AC). Great alternative to those large cumbersome box fans. I am going to look at the window type fan for my bedroom.
I needed a fan to move cool air from elsewhere in the house into the part of the house where the wood stove generates heat. This fan gives a good solid, focussed stream of air that gets the cool air all the way into the room, and you can hardly hear it! The low fan speed is the feature that makes the most difference, the feature that makes it quiet enough to run all the time and not get worn-out by a constant whine. Excellent product.
I exercise with my doors open to form a breezeway and the first day I had my Vornado 660 I had it pointed in the direction of my front door. When I turned it on it set off the tornado warning system here in Batesville. The false alarm caused the Civil Service to announce it was a false alarm but they were inexplicable as to the why. I kept quiet but have made sure not to point it outside. It delivers.
I bought this to use as an exhaust fan in my little art studio. I open the window part way and blow air out the window. It's really helped eliminate the odor of oil paints and low VOC solvents in the room.
Bought this a month ago, only wish I had bought it sooner. Quiet! Moves air at slow to fast speeds. Powerful. Love it — so does my dog who happily positions himself in its path.
We use this in our bedroom and it does a super job of cooling the 17 x 20 foot space. We live near the coast in Southern California and do not have air conditioning. This fan circulates the air so that we enjoy a cool, comfortable night's sleep.

This is my third exact fan. The BEST fan I have EVER owned. Incredible air movement. Having a 5 year warranty on the fan is phenomenal. I did have to call and have one replaced but they are so accommodating and I got the replacement fan in about 4 days
I bought this fan on the recommendation of CNN and best fans to buy if you don't have air conditioning. I need something strong for my upstairs bedroom but not sounding like a warehouse fan. I have not had reason to use this yet but during the sample try it appeared to give me enough air movement without being really noisy. I have it on the top of a set of drawers where it can aim down at my bed. It is more than I have ever paid for a fan, so only time will tell if it lives up to its rep.
i have two vornado pivot 6 fans. famtastic! love em. i bought this 660 model to blow air from my living room air conditioning vents to cool a large room. its just ok. for the hundred bucks it cost, i think it is not worth it. buy two pivot 6 fanns atv45 bucks a piece instead and will movecair waaay better.
