I both this item and a few more kitchen applience 2 mths ago and love my new appliences, i am living in my new kitchen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We read reviews about the cooktop not getting hot enough and having to turn it up very high to get water boiling. We haven't noticed this at all. The cooktop is great and heats up wonderfully! Our only concern will be keeping it clean. So you cook a it more carefully! But it looks great. It works great! Got rid of the electric and back to gas! It's so very nice! It has been installed for a month now and my best part of the day is cooking in it :) Easy to use, very spacious, easy to clean perfect for a household of 6! Easy to install! So far so good!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is a replacement for another brand that lasted 35 years. While that was an excellent cooktop, the maintenance wasn't as easy. The looks and features of my KitchenAid far exceed my old cooktop. The KitchenAid has metal controls that shouldn't break like plastic. The burners are larger and it's all flush so my large canning pots will fit. And it fit the hole in the counter top perfect. An unexpected blessing! I just hope it will last me the rest of my lifetime. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Liking it so far. I have had it a month. It replaced a 2006 kitchen aide. I like the center dual burner and the melt burner. Seems to cook evenly.
We LOVE this cooktop! Spacious, cleans easily! Plenty of room and we have this filled with lots of things cooking all at one time! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a new home and this was already installed, I like this cooktop but the only negative aspect is that it's not deep enough to fit two medium size pans on the front and back burners at the same time. I love the stainless steel they use, it's so easy to clean and doesn't leave streaks.
We bought a new home and upgraded to the Kitchen Aid Brand appliances for our new kitchen. The gas stove is awesome and has an even gas flow, perfect for even heat distribution. It also has a melting cover plate for the burner to melt baking Items or fondue cheeses. Our first gas bill was less than $15 which says it is also economical. I bought this less than a year ago and the burner covers (black iron circles) are rusting as are the grates. Why the heck aren't those parts glazed? I've had various gas cooktops for 40 years that have never done this. It is looking old already. And like others said, you can't read the heat designations because they are too faint. Yes, I clean my cooktop every day. I sure hope Kitchenaid takes care of this for me.
I am a senior citizen and have the cooktop after recently buying a new home. I cannot see the very faint knobs that tell you how high the flame is on the cooktop. Additionally, they do not light up as I read they should. This seems to be a dangerous situation and needs to be rectified.
