I love my new KitchenAid cooktop, it works and looks awesome. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical but the wife really wanted to switch from an electric cooktop to this Kitchenaid gas cooktop. What an incredible difference immediately. No more inconsistent heat with sauces boiling over. It has a very large cooling area and the control knobs are well placed and have a solid professional feel. They light up too. I'm a believer now It also immediately changed the look of the kitchen into something to be proud of.
Love cooking on this cooktop ....easy to use, spacious love how the knobs light up when turned on
was tired of electric cook tops. I love to cook and hated the heat up time. I splurged and bought the 36" gas Kitchen Aid cook top and love love it !! it heats quickly and is super easy to clean . It is the star of my kitchen remodel !!!
Do't buy the cooktop for the griddle. We tried it once, but it is so small, not worth the effort, but otherwise, the cooktop is great. It produces nice strong burner BTUs and also low levels good for melting and simmering. We do have, as others have noted, a bit on tight space with all 5 burners having pots and the pots crowd..but we do not do that too often. The lit rings about the knobs that light up are loose, and may need to contact the vendor to see how we can glue it back so it does not move around. the ring light is aesthetics but for as much as we paid, the ring should not be loose. I would also consider knobs in the front or side vs. in the front. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this as part of a suite of KitchenAid appliances. It has worked very well. Though the first one delivered was bowed an had to be replaced. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Cooktop is ok but design could have been better. The knobs are close to the elements so high risk of getting burnt and they are more prone to getting splashed on. Lights on knobs are a nice touch though.
I just started installing this unit and noticed that I can't see the markings for the controls. I can only see them at a certain angle and lighting. Very faint.
I know I'm still in the learning curve and probably should have researched this particular selection better for our new kitchen. Maybe my older eyesight makes reading the knob control information is part of my problem. I though the information packet could have been written better with regards to the intended uses of the different burner types. The burner grates seem to get moved off of their intended position easily. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you intend to cook with multiple pots at the same time you will be disappointed that KitchenAid didn't take this into consideration with the spacing between burners. When using a large pan on front burners you run the risk of the knobs getting hot under the pan. Knobs are opposite on each side for high/low settings which is confusing. Really poor design!
