Works great and should be more than enough panel for my overland Jeep build.
The ordering and purchasing process was easy and smooth. All products arrived well packaged, and the panels themselves are excellent. Quality of the panels we purchased are top notch.
Very nice flex panel. Its light wieght and easy to use.
Installs easily, but with my Z-Amp system, I had to cut and splice the MC4-SAE adapter to reverse the polarity. It would help if Renogy both made this sort of information readily available, and offered a gender-bender MC4 to SAE adapter, to make this truly "plug and play".
I've mounted this solar panel on the main hatch of my sailboat and it conforms perfectly to the curve of the hatch top. This 50w panel keeps my group 27 marine deep cycle battery fully charged and has exceeded all my expectations. The panel is ruggedly constructed and the brass grommets are very convenient. Power output is perfect for my needs with incandescent cabin and navigation lights.
Solar panels worked great. The only issue I had was wiring was confusing. The female connectors are stated in paperwork as positive leads but when hooked to splicing connector it's labeled positive positive in and negative out. Therefore panel gave error message and panel was wired backwards at the controller. Had to research online to figure out issue. Once figured out it worked great.
four stars for right now because i have not had a chance to use it. but it shipped fast to me and was well packaged and looks great. i will update when i get everything put together. thanks J Dunn
I would prefer it if the + and - wires didn't extend on opposites sides of the panel, but came out nearly together for single panel or parallel use. Only time will tell if this flexible panel is durable. Two of these replace a Renogy folding panel which quickly failed.
I think the panel is great, but it came covered with some kind of gunk that I had to carefully scrape off. Renogys new system for taking orders over the phone is a hassle.
Nice panel. Only getting 36-40 watts out of it in full sunshine, so not sure it's as good as it's rated. Hoping the connectors on the panel itself hold up better than in prior versions, where they have been its Achilles heal.
