[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the First alert dual smoke and fire alarm, it wad very easy to install. I also like that it came with batteries and it's not a 9 volt battery. It's not over sensitive. Which is nice since we have it near the kitchen and are teaching grandkids to cook lol. We tested it and it is loud enough to hear through the house. I like that it has a silence button also. We are planning on getting more for the rest of the house. It was also easy to get out of the packaging. I would definitely recommend it.
As others have stated, product image does not match the product. However the product description is correct. Price was much lower than expected so was worried would get not the model I thought it was or much older manufactured dates. This is First Alert dual sensor smoke alarm only. Model SA320CN. Comes with 2 Duracell AA batteries. Ordered 6 (January 2024), all 6 had manufactured sticker date of October 2023. Pleased with purchase. This model was reviewed by a consumer group who reports on product testing. They gave it a high recommendation. We replaced all the expired detectors with these. We needed battery detectors not hardwired but we didn't want to go with the 10 year lithium versions.
Dual system to detect both level of smoke and great price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just bought a house and it does not have a smoke detector. One problem with the smoke detector that we had before is that it triggers when we are cooking. This smoke detector solved that. No more rushing to the smoke detector to blow the smoke so it will stop beeping. This smoke detector has a silence button that can be pressed just in case we need to. Another good thing about this is that it is battery operated so we can put it anywhere. The casing is not the best kind of plastic but it does not really affect the main purpose of the smoke detector. Very useful!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pleased with the product. I did not know that smoke detectors needed to be dual channel to detect slow burn and fast flaming fires. Apparently, this one does that. It came with batteries, and mounted with no problem. Tested as expected. We feel much safer having it in the house and on the job. The item is about 2 inches thick and does stick out from the wall a little longer than I would have expected..so be careful to mount it up high enough to stay out of the way of those who might walk past it.

I was mainly excited to receive this due to the fact that it's not supposed to go off due to typical cooking smoke. I personally tend to cause a bit of smoke when I'm cooking (not the best chef) so I immediately switched it out with my old smoke detector as soon as I got it and I've not had any false alarms due to cooking smoke. I've thankfully not had a legitimate reason for the alarm to sound, but it does test sound just fine.
Although this First alert smoke alarm is also pictured with the carbon monoxide detector…….you will only receive the smoke alarm. The picture is very misleading and should be removed from the site. I haven't set up the smoke detector yet as I just received it yesterday, but I don't anticipate any problems. I really wanted to alert people that if you think you're getting both a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector…….You're not!
Ordered the dual detectors (smoke and CO). Received only the smoke detector.
according to the item description in the picture it supposed to a carbon monoxide detector and dual sense fire alarm just got the fire alarm. the picture they use to describe this item is false. can't add picture because this app won't let me.
I bought this thinking I was getting a CO detector and smoke alarm, but only got a smoke alarm so I'm very disappointed
