Like: The unit appears to be well made and has run as described in the manual. It can take 5 gallons of water out of the air in a day. It is not noisy at lower speed, but I have turned it off sometimes to listen to music. Dislike: There is a "splash guard" on the water container to keep water from splashing out when carry it to dump it. Might not be an improvement. I did not seat this properly and the water leaked out onto the carpet to be dehumidified all over again. Be very careful putting it in or don't use it. Other: This unit is so similar to my prior unit, which was made in China and of good quality, I have to question where this new one was actually made. There are more parameters to set up this machine and it took me 3 or 4 resettings and tests to get what I wanted. I've had it one week now and it's working as I want it to. Delivery day came much sooner than originally promised; however, I was promised a morning delivery and it ended up arriving at 3PM.
Works great, really takes the moisture out of the air, my watt meter says about 525 watts used, sounds like a room air conditioner. Controls are easy to use and understand. I would buy again.
I've had one before never gave me a problem sold my house left it in the basement for the purchaser ordering a new one for the garage in the new home
This is a serious dehumidifier! It says it will cover a room 4000 sf. I'm using it on a smaller room but this seems almost commercial. It's been running for days at a time without a blip. I'm glad I picked this Honeywell dehumidifier it's working fantastic!
i have this operating in 2500sqft home and pulled the humidity down from 60% to 45%. this does take time, about 7 days to work. I can feel the difference. it feels much cooler at the same AC temp. The water vessel holds about 2 gallons, which must be emptied two - three times a day.
I live in a ground level apartment so during the spring and summer it gets very humid and there is an increase in centipedes because of that. I got this in the spring and it helped with cooling my apartment and reduced critters. I keep it in my bathroom with the door open so the decreased humidity can be felt through my entire apartment (<700 sq ft).
The unit itself is quiet and works as described. The continuous drain hose is hard plastic and won't straighten out, and it is only 3 feet long. So I hooked up a 6 foot rubber hose that works fine. The power cord needs to be a couple of feet longer. In my basement I have 1 wall outlet about 40 inches off the floor, and it's the only outlet the cord will reach. The other outlets are near the joists about 7 feet above the floor.
Excellent dehumidifier. A real work horse! Relatively very quiet especially on high speed. Only complaint is the design of the tank. Still learning how to empty without spilling some water. The key is to empty slowly and keeping the tank balanced in your hands.
This unit lowered the humidity in my small one bedroom apartment fairly quickly. It went from 70% humidity to 39% in about 8 hours. I wish the controls had names on them instead of symbols but it's not hard to figure out. so far I'm fairly pleased with my purchase
Walmart's marketplace seller JMA North America did not box or pack dehumidifier for shipping which ruined dehumidifier. I am still trying to return damaged dehumidifier.
