These really do hold my hair up. My hair is baby-fine and only Goody had a claw clip that truly held my hair up. I was hesitant buying these as I have always used the claws with silicone on the fingers, but I was unable to find that style. These are a great substitute. The bands inside have not pulled any hair out, they have not slipped, nor has any hair slipped out.
