Brushless motors, 1080P camera, GPS, optical flow, even a camera that tilts using the controller and multiple flight modes. This drone is about as good as it gets for only $150! You dont have to break the bank for a dji drone and get similar quality. About the best non dji RTR drone
Battery life fully charged gives you about 14 minutes of fun exploring connected fast and easy to my device and stayed connected no lagging easy to control love the carrying case makes it easier to keep organized and on handy to travel to anywhere noise is not loud at all wont disturb
My kids are having so much fun with this! We wanted a beginner-friendly drone and this one fits the bill (and goes beyond, honestly). We did see a quick video to familiarize ourselves before using this but the instructions that come with it are quite easy to follow and intuitive. The drone flies beautifully and we loved all the aerial shots it provided. We kept the flight time under 5 minutes but it could go for 15 minutes on a single charge. The one-button take-off/landing and return-home are some amazing features! We're still getting the hang of it but it was so fun to do this as a new family activity!
As others have mentioned, this is not a drone that can be flown in a matter of hours, there is a learning curve, so having an experienced friend nearby would be helpful. However, learning solo can be done and Vivitar has a 24/7 customer service call center. E.g. I flew several times a few feet off the ground before high flying. Con, the camera resolution seems lower than 4k, but works fine with good sunlight - perhaps there is a setting somewhere. Overall rating *****
Lost the cheap drone we bought our son for Xmas in the sky. (Probably in a tree somewhere) We decided to buy a more upscale drone that looked durable, wasn't too expensive %26 that it had GPS Tracking!!!⬅️ IMPORTANT We've flown it into walls, doors, trees and the side of a brick house %26 has held up well. It's a little meticulous with the calibration of the drone, the internal gyroscope %26 the aircraft compass. Fun Learning How To Fly Along With Taking Pictures %26 Videos Still can't connect to the WI-FI %26 use the app as a controller but I will contact customer service or watch YouTube videos. The added extension piece that holds your phone on the controller has already broke.~SEE 5TH PICTURE I also can't find where to put the SD card, Where it shows you can is too small for the one we have.
This drone has mind of its own but is capable of flying once you learn all you need to know. It was a nice looking drone but the propeller blades are very flimsy! I had three propellers to break and no way of getting more. The Vivitar website claims they are out. I looked for three weeks including contacting the company with no response from them I even contacted them again with no response. I finally took it back to Walmart! Horrible customer service but I see the company replying in the comment section. Make it make sense! I've bought 5 Vivitar drones and will never buy another one.
Garbage. Don't waste your money. My 13 year old son got this for Christmas and flew it maybe a few times before it got bumped on something and now it won't fly. Unless you can get some kind of bumper guard to prevent it from hitting anything, don't bother.
if there was an option of zero or even lower stars I would have used that. this shipment was sent as a gift delivery and quite the opposite occurred. The gift was supposed to be at least covered up in case it was handed off to somebody who wasn't supposed to see it in this case the box itself was given to my grandson and it was his gift for his birthday tomorrow I also did not receive a gift receipt or paperwork on the protection plan that I purchased with it. this was supposed to be a surprise for his birthday and right now I am extremely angry, disappointed, etc.
This thing just takes a notion to do what it wants to do. This isn't my only drone, but it's the only one I have trouble with. Half a set of props were included, and the way this thing acts, there should be more. I called Vivitar and they acted like I was speaking a different language when I asked to buy more props. Then, miraculously, they're shipping me the props they don't have. We'll see what happens.
got this thinking it'd be a pretty easy set up but the wings would not expand no matter what. tried unlocking them the way it said so on the manual and instead of it opening the wings it attempted to take off with them still closed and now they're chipped and bent 😐 waste of money should've gotten one that already had the wings open.
