I went from floor nursing where I was on the go everyday to a work from home nursing position. I bought this so I could workout on my breaks and take advantage of the downtime. I LOVE IT! I do however miss the live classes and leaderboards:-(
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I have really enjoyed the Bike and really really enjoyed paying a lot less than for a peloton.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reliable, it's convenient to have at home and I really enjoy riding it along with the iFit content
Like everyone else I wanted to exercise indoors during Covid. Many of my friends had the other bike and after lots of research, I determined that the Nordic track was probably a better option. For background reference, I have been riding a road bike for well over 30 years and so transitioning to an indoor bike or something new for me but it needed to give me a similar experience. I am 6'-3” and 250#. I did the set up without any help in about an hour. Had to make many adjustments in order for the bike to be comfortable, including replacing the seat. I have had to move the seat all the way forward in order to not have tremendous pain in my wrists while riding. The one thing I would caution people if they are buying this machine is to understand that it is a spinning bike, which means you were going to be hunched over as opposed to sitting more upright. Even after many attempts and adjustments on this bike, I'm still not as upright as I would like to be. The interactive programming is good although I would like to see more variety in the instructors. Some of the settings the instructors have in the workouts are unrealistic and need to be modified. Regarding the display, I would like to be able to tilt the display while I am riding it without needing a wrench to make adjustments. On many occasions to touch screen does not respond when trying to start or finish a workout. Also, I would like the fan to continue to run after the work out. As it is right now it just shuts off when your workout is over leaving you there sweating. Overall, if you are looking for a well-built, indoor, spinning bike with plenty of training options, then this unit is for you. I think it has a better value than the competition.
We've had our bike for a little over a year and we use it is few times a week. My wife does strength workouts with it and I do spin classes. Things I like: - The built in fan is awesome. - Automatic changing of resistance and incline. - There are some classes in Spanish - The hardware is strong and the bike is solid, it doesn't creak, or wobble, or flex even with a strong guy who can put down big watts. Things I would change: - The interface is laggy and slow to respond, needs a faster processor. - You can't turn the screen off for put it to sleep, so the screen is on 24/7. This was really annoying when it was in our room and I have a feeling the screen will be the first thing to fail. - The seat is terrible and needs to be switched out ASAP.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bike is good and enjoy using. Only reason for 4 stars is my family and I find it difficult to adjust and get the seat positioning just right. I share the bike with 2 others in my family and all 3 of us have to set it to different positions for comfort. We all find the bike difficult to adjust and get right every time for the most comfortable position.
For the amount that is paid for this product you would think the saddle would be of good quality. Unfortunately this is not the case as the saddle provided a painful experience. To remedy the situation I removed the saddle from my road bike and installed it on the s22i. On another note, it would be nice if there was an option to stand on the bike without peddling and without having to stop the wheel from moving for those instances where you want to stand and stretch on long workouts.
The Nordictrack Commercial S22i Studio Cycle physically performs well. However, we have had numerous software glitches. Lots of crashes and lots of system resets.
My husband and I both hate this bike. It is SO uncomfortable. We both ride road bikes regularly, so the discomfort is specific to the Nordic Track bike. The handles are too far forward and the seat is angled like a torture device. We tried a new seat and it still hurts our bottoms to ride every time. Also, the touch screen is so far forward that an average woman (I'm 5' 7") can't reach it while riding!! Also, there is only a tiny rest for a phone and it angles away from the rider so I can hardly see my screen when I ride (I know Nordic Track thinks ppl only want their crappy music, but I like to play cards when I work out). We have the NT treadmill and love it. This bike sucks and I wish I could return it. The star is for the ifit software and the good non-studio workouts it offers. In addition to changing the handle bars, phone rest and seat, it would help if they added an optional sound cue to help folks maintain a minimum wattage or mph when riding. Key word is "optional" because I know only some ppl would want this. I.e., like a tiny beep I could set to inform me if I'm going too slow. Even though I want to train for longer rides, I want to stare at my phone while I'm working out, not the screen that my normal length arms are too short to reach. Did the designer ever actually sit on this bike? Nordic Track needs to hire real users and athletes as consultants to help with product development/design. If they did, this bike would be better.
I enjoyed my bike until it malfunctioned! Can't get ahold of service department to help me troubleshoot the problem.
