Long range with high speed, it's all you need. My intention of purchasing this router was to extend my existing modem wifi range. Although It doesn't have feature to connect it wirelessly with another modem/router using bridge mode, I had to connect it using provided LAN cable with my another short range modem BUT I found receiving same speed in this router after connecting it with my modem including really wide range that I still see full signals everywhere on my 3BHK home. It's worth it.
I haven't had any problems with this device. On startup the router needed a firmware update that took about 5 minutes to install and it was an easy setup after that. It can handle a 200mbps connection well and without delay. Connections are stable and strong.
Works great! Great price point
I bought this router to put on my network at home. It was so easy to set up and even to get inside via my laptop to make adjustments. The price was good and so far I have had great strength from the router.
This router was a cinch to set up--and I am NOT a computer geek! Included were easy to follow directions. These were just simple instructions, with pictures, of which cords to plug in where. No syncing with my computer or anything technical to do. Also they included the phone number for support in LARGE print. I did call support because I was unclear about when to change my user name and password for my network. And there was not a long hold time.
Never disconnect. Management software is the most user friendly I have ever seen. Good price and receive strong signal.
SETUP WAS MUCH MORE DIFICULT THAN OTHER ROUTERS THAT I HAVE HAD, BUT THE RESULT IS A POWERFUL DEVISE WITH A STRONG SIGNAL. I WAS HUNG UP ON THE PASSWORD, BUT AFTER MANY TRIES, I JUST PUSHED THE BUTTON ON THE ROUTER TO CONFIRM MY IDENTITY, AND NOW IT WORK GREAT WITH ALL OF MY COMPUTERS, PRINTERS, ETC.
RT-AC1200 is replacing an ASUS RT-N66U. The price was right and the feature set is what is expected from ASUS routers. The UI is full of features and all are easy to use. The ASUS Router app is handy to have when needing to check access from phone. 2.4ghz range is noticeably less than the N66U this is replacing. Our chromecast on the other corner of the house gets no signal from the AC1200 but was reliable with the N66U. Andriod phone in the same room with chromecast gets a poor signal. Time to setup the N66U as a range extender. Pros: - small footprint - easy setup - good signal Cons: - Range of 2.4Ghz is several meters shorter than N66U.
I purchased this for the office. Did have some confusion to get set up. My computer only has 2.4 wi-fi and it disconnects when we have two people on internet video after about 30 minutes. All other service has been great. We have two computers, two cell phones, and a printer hooked up all the time. I will qualify for a warranty extension by submitting this review.
Didnt pull up my speeds from prior router but seemed stable enough. Could be my ISPs fault
