I love this system. Lid keeps compartments from mixing. Pretty sturdy for plastic. I have a couple dozen stacked in my work truck. Beat-Up, but very few broken even with very heavy loading of Bolts, Screws etc.
I purchased three of these professional organizers. They hold all of my miscellaneous parts. I have enough empty bins among the three that I can reorganize the bins in one organizer to accommodate the job at hand. This has made them extremely useful. I carry the job-specific organizer with my tools inside while leaving the other two in the vehicle. All three have survived shifting around in the rear of the vehicle. I use these for beading. They are a bit on the heavy side, but that's ok. These are very durable, they don't let beads swim around in the container, and I very much like that I can take the little boxes out--makes it SO easy to select beads. Finally, the light yellow makes it easy to see the beads. I had black organizers before, and that was a bad idea.
I love these cases. As a jack of all trades kinda guy, I accumulate a ton of screws, bolts screwdriver bits electronic parts etc. But when I need one, I spend an hour locating it. Time is in short demand which is where these came in. By purchasing a few of these, over time I have organized my life and best of all, I can take my organization with me. So now I have the 8x32x1" machine screw right next to the 10x24x1" screw and both right beside me while I figure out which one is needed working on the project. Saved tons of time. As for the product itself... The little individual pull out containers are great as I never had good luck using the sliding dividers as they always move and everything gets mixed up. These are tough and let you pull out a box to be able to dump out the tiny parts into your hand where my fat fingers can't otherwise pick up. Being not too tall or too big, I can store many options but still have larger trays for the items that are bigger or that o have more of. So far none of the cases have broken in any way and I have been using them for several years and keep buying more. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
These are fantastic to store a variety of small parts in my shop. The system is flexible with three different size compartments and the case feels pretty solid. I plan on constructing a cabinet for these and there is a smooth lip on the sides of these which will permit easy sliding along rails. The only real downside I have discovered is there is no way to buy individual bins - not even directly from Stanley. Still, these are good and the price is reasonable. I'm buying a few more.
More organizers should be made like this. My favorite feature is the ability to remove the individual containers you are working with. I've always personally disliked the organizers you can adjust the dividers. Small pieces always slip under the dividers and it's frustrating to remove items. That is no longer an issue with this organizer. If you own multiple you can mix and match the yellow containers to better organize. I personally use these organizers for my Lego spare parts.
I keep buying these storage containers when I run out of space. I now have quite a few of them. They are great for parts storage for projects because I can remove the boxes with the parts I need and take them to my workbench. The manufacturer finally corrected the problem with their product label glue and it's now easy to remove without leaving residue on the cover. I wish someone would sell a cabinet to hold a few dozen of these containers. Currently I just stack them on shelves. Anyway, I found several plans for cabinets to hold these on the internet. we have used this model for a few years for our Shaklee Vitamins. Last week my daughter dropped the case and the hinge broke oops. This is the best vitamin case I have found because we take a lot of supplements and we need a large sturdy case..
I work as a professional handyman for designers and contractors so I need a wide variety of fasteners and hardware. the problem is that I need lots of small containers for just a small amounts of all kind of those. This shallow storage container has lots more removable compartments than the full size deep storage container AND two of these fit in the same space as one of the deep storage container. I have a whole side of my work van with tow vertical stacks of both types and it's like having a hardware store with me. I can take the whole case in with me OR just a single inside compartment. Love this organizer except foe one aggravation... there is a large Stanley sticker glued on the front which is not removeable without a blade and blocks the view of several bin contents. I would have given 5 stars and bought another except for the frustrating sticker.
