I like these for a quick breakfast on the way to work or a lazy weekend morning. But this sandwich in the pic I had a hard time eating because it looked like a cute Corgi butt!!
I eat one of these almost every day. In my last box of 12 two of them were missing 1/2 of the sausage. See photos attached!
I love these easy to go Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Sausage, egg, and cheese croissant is my favorite. All the ingredients taste very fresh and you wouldn't know that it came out of a microwave. The main issue I have with this is the packaging. It is extremely hard to open so I would say it is not elderly friendly. I am not even an older person, yet I have a hard time opening them. Can you please figure out how to make them easier to open.
The sandwhiches are good but for me they take extra effort to cook. I have to separate the egg and sausage from everything else or else the egg and sausage will be cold still but it taste really good. Maybe I have to do this because I'm not following the exact intructions but overall it good to have in the morning to heat up and eat!
I purchased this 4 count croissant breakfast sandwiches a week ago. The expiration date on my breakfast sandwich is 01/27/2023. However they have mold on them. My husband fixed one this morning and noticed the mold after he heated it up. Then we examined the rest in the box and low and be hold their was mold on them as well. Lord have mercy this could have made my family ill. So glad he looked before taking a bite.Hillshire/Tyson company you all need to do something about this matter. This is terrible!!!!!!
We used to buy a package of 8 every week but after the recent sausage changes (possibly other ingredients) we will no longer be buying Jimmy Dean products. The taste is far worse and the sausage us half the width. It looks even more processed now and for the last package we finally started replacing the sausage with Smithfield sausage (far better quality). We won't be back unless Jimmy Dean starts focusing more on quality vs profits.
I'll be honest - I had never had a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich before yesterday. A friend bought them and when she left yesterday (she came Friday-Tuesday) there were two still in the package. I decided to give them a try! I microwaved yesterdays and ate it and thought it was a decent quick solution for breakfast. Given that decision I decided to eat the second one today. Being in a hurry I took it from the package, wrapped it in a paper towel and put it on a plate. I stood by the microwave checking messages on my phone while it cooked and then while it sat for the one minute. I removed it from the microwave, opened the paper towel and took a bite. While I was chewing I noticed something black in it. I assumed it was a burnt part or something so I pulled that piece off and took another bite. As I was chewing I decided to get a closer look at what could be burnt only to find nothing was burnt, there was a DEAD FLY stuck in the cheese. This had to have already been there. We don't really have flies much here and even if we did, there was no time for a fly to land IN the sandwich, have me wrap it up and cook it. Of course at that point I spit out the bite I was chewing and now I can say, that's the end of Jimmy Dean Sausage Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches for me.
I have been buying these for a long time. Kept on buying when the sausage shrunk. Kept buying when the price went up. Bought 2 boxes of 8 a couple days ago and the croissant is barely bigger than a Ritz cracker and just as thin. I will never buy Jimmy Dean again if this was not a production flaw.
I've been eating the sausage, egg and cheese croissant for quite a while and I have been very satisfied. Over the past two weeks, the two boxes that I've purchased have been awful. I don't know if you all changed your ingredients for the sausage, but it has NO taste (I equate it to unseasoned hamburger) and has an odd smell to it. I thought that maybe I had a bad batch, but I just opened a new box today and the sausage is terrible. If you all changed something in your sausage, please change it back. It looks like a processed meat patty. NOT HAPPY!!
These used to be great breakfast sandwiches, but lately when I have been buying them the sausage patty is so small it doesn't even cover the croissant before cooking. Once it shrinks during cooking it's even smaller. Store brand sandwiches now offer more meat for your money. It's a shame the company has started skimping on its products.
