I grew up in homes that always had a fireplace; but upon living in an apartment, thought I'd have to give up that ‘atmospheric comfort.' Was tremendously surprised how much this heater warms and provides a very realistic bed of coals and remnants of logs in it's faux ‘bed.' Even my cat enjoys laying down in front it during his naps!
This is nice on a chilly morning to just turn it on and get the chill out. It adds a cozy feel to my apartment.
If you're in the market for something like this, this is definitely the heater to get. I was nervous about buying one over the internet, but I compared a lot of models from different buying websites and decided on this model. I held my breath and hoped for the best. I am extremely happy with it. It's exactly what I wanted. The wood cabinet is nice, solid wood (not pressed, composite or fake wood). The fireplace effect is nice (it doesn't look cheap or cheesy or anything like that). The heat is warm and comforting. You can set it for any temperature and it self-regulates, keeping the temperature on point. It has a remote which is great and can control everything, but all of its functions can also be set from the fireplace itself. The top, sides, bottom and most of the front are cool to the touch. The only exception is the top of the front which blows the heat out. Even there, though, it isn't too hot or anything. Most importantly, it has the safety features I wanted. It has a child lock setting, turns itself off if it tips over and turns itself off it gets too hot. All of these things, at a very reasonable cost. I'm extremely happy and I highly recommend :-)
We really like this electric fireplace with remote. I feel like it is more safer than my regular gas fireplace. This one, you just plug in and turn it on to whatever temperature you want and it's done. It will idle once it reach the room temperature, just like an air conditioning. The remote is great too! We can turn it off an off without having to get off the couch. The LED fire picture looks realistic. We like that. The design is great too! I like that I can take this in any room if I need to. Overall, I highly recommend it. We have been using it for weeks now and it has kept us warm.
So quiet and charming looking, it creates a great cozy feel in any small to medium sized room. The fire effect is really pretty. It reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. Very effective simulation and not too bright to disturb your sleep or movie watching experience if you have it on in a room at night. Warmed the space op quickly in a fairly large master bedroom. It would be great for a covered patio area as well. Charming look, easy to use, there are controls on the unit, but it also comes with a remote control. The control is on the smaller side and nondescript black so it might be easy to confuse or misplace. I like that this does not have to be a permanent fixture but can be easily moved from room to room or be stored away as needed.

I generally like this heater. It looks like a really nice fireplace. The wattage is set to have a high and a low feature. It also has an Eco mode tho. There is a child-safety lock button that can be (de)activated by holding it down for a few seconds. This (un)locks the heater control buttons. There is a power button to turn it off and on, which is self-explanatory, but it also controls the heat level (high, low, and Eco). There are up and down arrows to increase or decrease the heat temperature. There's a timer button and a light button which controls the lightness/darkness of the fireplace display. The heat is vented close to the top of the heater, above the fireplace display. That is odd to have it so far up since heat rises. It is also ironic to have it up that high while also have a child lock mechanism. The vent gets hot so if the child can reach the buttons, he/she can also reach the hot vent. Not only is this feature off putting, but the noise level is surprisingly loud too. When the heater is turned off, the noise of the fan still runs for a little while. I think this may be a cooling fan. We have a smaller fireplace heater that puts out the same amount of heat and an even smaller one that is not a fireplace one, but it's gives off the same amount of heat. If you're looking for a decently-sized fireplace heater, this may be for you. Overall, I recommend this heater with precautions to very young age considerations and noise level.
Terrible product! Only used a few times and already not working. Heater will not come on only the lights. Tried to return it but there was a 30 day limit which I was not told when ordered. One week past that date and return was refused like order never existed! Last item I purchase from Walmart.com!
