My sister is a big woman with Asthma and didn't wear a seatbelt for many years because she couldn't stand the pressure of a tight belt on her chest. I feel so much better now that she's finally using the seatbelt and she feels good about it. She has no problems now.
The seat belt extender is exactly what I was lookin for. It's a high quality, USA certified unit. I'm confident it won't fail in an accident. I would be skeptical of a cheaper version, as your life may depend on it.
What a big difference between the factory seat buckle and this one!!! Trying to connect or disconnect before this extension was a nightmare!!! This extension is something the designers of the factory (in this case Ford Taurus) buckles should take lessons. I strongly recommend this product!
The product is great for the price, unfortunately we had an issue where it did not fit our existing belt buckle. We were purchasing this for a forklift seatbelt, so could not just match it by vehicle type. Perhaps an online tool for selecting the correct type would be helpful.
I am really happy with the extension. Before I was trapped once belted in, now I can actually move and get comfortable in the seat. Key Point: Make sure you get the right item, as an Example my Odyssey uses different sizes for each of the 3 rows.
I like the rigid seat belt extender because the receiver clips that come with most cars are not easy to reach and sometimes are hidden between the seat cushion and the center console. I have used these same extenders on my previous autos and they worked like a charm. I also noticed that on my current Subaru Forester that the extenders shut off the alarm reminder. It's not a problem for me but it is go to know. This was not the case on my previous cars.
It's shorter than anticipated even though I measured, Sturdy %26 works. Good quality.
This was my second attempt to purchase an extender for my father in law. The first purchase error was my fault. The E8 came which did not fit his seatbelt. I ordered this one as the description says E4..... Guess what came!?!? Another E8. Both have been returned and I am still in search of an E4.
I ordered this item specifically because the company is known worldwide for being the number one company in buckle safety along with other items and I receive my buckle excited to use it And when I go to buckle it in to my vehicle the piece of the buckle the inserts into the other where it locks in was too big so now I have a buckle extender that don't fit
