[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We took a family Camping trip to Flathead Lake, Montana this past week. Our Lifetime Cooler was Fantastic! After pre-cooling it at home using two frozen milk jugs for a day and a half we took it on our trip. While camping we used just 1 block of ice and one 20lb bag of ice and it lasted for almost full 8 days! Our favorite feature by far is the ice retention and we love the design of the cooler. Another favorite feature, the rubber latches that open and close the cooler. They're extremely easy to latch and unlatch. Also, I love that I'm able to use two padlocks on the cooler to ensure that it doesn't get stolen. The cooler has an extremely strong seal too. So strong infact that sometimes it takes a bit of effort to open up the cooler. No doubt that this is why we were getting so many days of ice retention. I'm serious when I say that this cooler is on par with the more expensive rotomolded coolers but for a fraction of the price. I'm very very impressed! Just as a little side note, I added little stick on LED Lights on the top inside of the lid which makes it very easy for grabbing a late night camp snack or drink. I included a picture of that. Overall my family and I are extremely satisfied with the lifetime cooler and will highly recommend it to friends and family!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the 77Qt cooler for a while and recently got the New 65Qt High Performance Cooler. I use these coolers for my Youtube Chanel and my BBQ business. I recently traveled from San Antonio Texas to Baja California. Before leaving SA I put 2 frozen Briskets and 6 racks of ribs along with two bags of ice in the 77Qt cooler. After 2 days of travel and reaching my destination I opened the cooler and everything was frozen solid! It took 4 days to get the meat out! After cooking my Briskets and pork shoulders To 200 degrees internal I wrap them in towels and put them in the 65Qt and they stay in there for up to 8 hours. After removing them the meats are at a safe temperature of 150 degrees. These coolers are excellent and ice retention and even keeping food warm! Compared to the competitors the prices cannot be beat!
For the price this ice chest is very durable & holds ice for many days keeping things cool. We also like the latches & that it can be locked. It stands up to the more the more expensive ice chests.
Took this cooler on a 6 day camping trip near Lake Isabella in July, 105 degrees every day and very little shade, plus a 5 hour drive to get there with the cooler cooking in the sun the whole way. When I returned home, there was still ice. Very sturdy, heavy duty, reliable cooler. And the bottle openers on the side are a big plus, way easier than trying to keep track of one somewhere else. I came back and bought a second one of these coolers because they are so great. You really can't beat the price for the quality that you get here.
This cooler performs outstanding and it is a fair price. If you want to maximize your performance pre cool the cooler. On a Tues afternoon I put 40 lbs of Ice in. Wednesday I packed up for a road trip with drinks and some food. The cooler was in the back(bed) of my truck or in the garage for the entire period,(out of direct sunlight) On average I got in the cooler twice a day. On Friday I added 5lbs of ice from the hotel. One week later on a Wednesday day I still had Ice in this cooler not much but still had 5 cold drinks. I drained the water on (Friday). I keep it out of direct sunlight but temps were in the 90s everyday. Lows temps over night about 60. The design has nothing sticking out to break, has a great drain and cap with good latches that are flush with the cooler.
Ouickly addressed my issue. Once I provided green label information.
Bought this cooler to take on a fishing trip to Belize. Wanted something to bring the fish back while staying cool and that would hold up to the baggage handlers. The cooler passed the test. I had over 30 lbs of half-frozen fish (we fished the day before leaving) and one small bag of ice in the cooler for 20 hours in Central American and Houston heat in the middle of summer for close to a day and I am not sure any cubes melted. Plenty of room to spare. Fish and cooler survived the trip. The cooler is a little large and a bit heavy. The non-slip cushions on the bottom also make it a bit hard to maneuver.
First trip with this larger cooler, performing as expected.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I was excited about this 65Qt cooler since I needed something smaller than my 77. Well to my surprise the coolers are almost identical on the outside dimension with minimum differences and the so why get the 65 when you can get the 77 ? Also, the 77 can accommodate TWO wire baskets and the 65 can not accommodate a single one since it doesn't have the grove to hold it in place. In terms of ice retention, both are very similar with 6.5 days on the 77 and 7 days on the 65....and that can well be because of the colors. My 77 is grey and my 65 is white. So all, in all, very similar coolers, but the 77 of course has a larger capacity and the comfort of fitting two wire baskets!
I just got it have not used it yet it looks well made heavy duty . We went to Bass pro shop and the Yeti ones are really expensive and the sales man there recommended this one he said he had one and it works as good as the yeti and he said if you have it sitting out at camp people are not likely to steal it people steal the yeti ones .
