[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved our televisipn but when it had a glitch we were still undrr the 1 yr manufactured warranty & LG took care of us immediately. We did everything that was asked of us on our part & they replaced our LG with a check to cover the cost & we purchased a brand new LG 55 inch 2022 version. You cannot go wrong with LG. Our appliances sre LG also.
Love everything about the TV except the remote. The picture is 65” UHD and looks great. Sound is good also. The remote leaves something to be desired. The volume and channel buttons as with the Home button should be easier to find without having to turn on a light and put on my glasses. Will take some getting used to.
I bought this during the Black friday sale as an upgrade from my older TV. I am very happy with the picture clarity and use of the remote functionality with the apps. My brother sent me the LG soundbar to add to my upgrade. They were both so easy to set up!
I purchased my LG 55 inch 7000 series tv a few weeks ago. I have never had a smart tv before this and was amazed at how easy it was to set up all of my programs. YouTube TV, Netflix, Disney +, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and on top of all of this I’m able to see all 155 movies from my Apple Air Play. Amazing! After reviewing some YouTube hints on how to get the best picture, I think the TV is ready to rock. This TV is really a steal at $450. It’s going to be used in a small den. LG got this one right.
I've had smaller, cheaper tv's in my life (not to say this one is particularly expensive), but this was my first big boy TV. I like the UI, the picture, most of the whole experience as a user. HOWEVER - When I bought the TV, I noticed a lot of image ghosting. It was always very minor and very temporary, so I kinda thought it was just part of the system UI. As the months went on, it got worse but I didn't totally realize something was borked until 6 months. The screen was visibly dull/washed-out/desaturated in the middle spreading outwards, and the ghosting had gotten increasingly easier to trigger (although it was never permanent). I called LG and sent them pictures, and they determined it needed to be repaired. They put my work order out there, and within the end of the business day, The TV Shop contacted me. I sent him the same pictures, and he ordered the panel. Part came 4 days later, and within a week of starting the whole process, my TV was fixed and more vibrant than ever! Pics attached are of the bad panel vs the replacement I give the 4 stars simply because I got a bad panel out of the box, but under warranty I was able to get it fixed at no cost or inconvenience (repair man came to me, even in the snow!). It's also worth nothing that on the LG apps, if I set the aspect ratio to "original" and I watch something in 4:3, say an old cartoon, the next episode that autoplays stretches the image back out to full screen. I've been using a roku in place of the system UI mostly for that reason. However I'm a crazy person, and that probably won't bother most people. LG generally speaking has great hardware and I look forward to the years I get out of this TV.
I am a physically challenged Senior citizen who have mobility concerns. My big screen is clear and colors are vibrantly displayed. The 65UP7000 provides me with an opportunity to travel across the country as I watch YouTube RV traveling programs. Feels like I am riding in the front seat of the RV viewing the landscape(Robert Moran’sTraveling Free in My RV).
For the most part this is a great TV for the price. It offer pretty good value and solid standard features. I've had this TV for 3 weeks now and from the start I've noticed a fair amount of backlight bleed in the corners. While it's not noticable all the time, when it is, it's a real bummer. If this ain't something that can be remedied by LG under factory warranty I would contemplate returning and going for the 8000 with full backlight instead of edge lite which I hope would eliminate the issue.
I bought the TV almost a year ago, it was a gift for my uncle overseas. The TV lasted less than a year. I was watching TV and all the sudden the TV went black, couldn't see anything. I followed all the instruction trying to reset it and didn't work. They wanted to send a technician but again the TV is overseas.
Only had it for about two years. The screen went dark for about 5 to 8 seconds then back on. i knew something was gonna happen later. Now i have a vertical line on the left side of the screen and its aggravating!
The TV was delivered with a punched hole through the box.
