I am now using these RP-5000F towers as side surrounds. My LCR are RP-6000Fs along with the RP-504C. I have two sets of RP-500SA as front and rear heights. Having all of your woofers relatively the same size seems to be advantageous for object tracking and sound panning within the room. These are very capable speakers, you can use them in a 2.0 system, as main Left and Right, or as surrounds.
Recently purchased these for my front stage in a 7.1.4 configuration crisp powerful detailed sound
I have two of these, the r-41SA atmos speakers sitting on top of them, an rp-500C center, and 2 R-100 subs. The floor stands crush it. you might as well be in the theater. the Titanium tweeters make listening to dubstep an absolute treat as well. It could hurt my ears if i'm not careful. Haven't had to write that in a review before. the lows on these floorstands LITERALLY blow my curtains back when they hit. Along with the subs, the back of my theater system is an interactive environment lol. I highly recommend a full Klipsch system, and definitely these speakers. Just make sure you have a receiver that can push AT LEAST 90W. the specs says the minimum is 100W so don't go below the denon AVR-S960H.
I bought a predecessor to this speaker, the RF-52, in 2009. The sound is excellent, and so it would be a solid 5, but we now have dead tweeters and Klipsch made the speaker obsolete and impossible to fix. This would be a very easy swap if they just supported this not-so-old product, but now I'm off for new speakers and sad to go elsewhere in search of better support.
