[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A couple months ago, I was looking to upgrade my gaming laptop from 2018 and this surely did the trick. It now runs 3x faster than it did before, and doesn't overheat either! It's amazing for gaming. I can't even believe it's even the same laptop honestly. It was also very easy to set up. I cloned over my HDD, plugged it in and it was ready to go! The Samsung Magician app is not required, but it makes it very easy to see your SSD's health and stats. I really wish I bought more than one lol I love it so much. I would love to upgrade more PC parts from Samsung in the future!

Every SSD I add to anything is always from Samsung. From my laptop to my PS4 Pro it has never disappointed and now that I added one to my PS5 it continues to impress by far exceeding their minimum specs for SSD's and will continue to be my goto brand in the future.

I bought the SSD for PS5 gaming console/system for additional memory space for gaming. At first, I was contemplating with the compatibility. But, it works so well, very fast and with a higher responsive rate. It handles modern games such as EA FC 24 with agility. I am glad and pleased with the purchase.

Transferring large files and game load times are noticeably faster. I also liked the Samsung magician software. I have the heatsink model and the temps always stayed below 80C Also the firmware has been fixed with these newer ssds that was causing premature degradation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 990 PRO 4tb w/ Heatsink in June 2024 and have been using it for over a month in Dell Alienware R16 running Win 11 (replacing / upgrading the 1tb stock drive). Learned about 3 significant issues online related to this drive: bad firmware, drive disappearing from Windows and Bios, and drive degradation issues - so first thing was to download the Magician software to update firmware and drivers. Despite that, I kept experiencing drive disappearance issues randomly but frequently during first few weeks. Recently changed setting to "Full Performance Mode" at all times to see if the disappearance issues would stop. This has been a disappointment. In addition, ran multiple Performance Benchmarks in Magician and never gotten close to the advertised read and write speeds up to 7450/6900 MB/s. Only getting about 6700/5700 MB/s in "Full Performance Mode" (a little higher using CrystalDiskMark but still falling short of the advertised speeds). So performance is yet another disappointment.
