Well These smoke alarms came with the house and they are really good they never Caused of false alarm once and I am happy with them compared to the other ones I wrote a review about (go check out the review!)
Sorry....... the new detectors I purchased haven't been installed as of yet so I don't have comments at this time. However.... the experience to date has been great!!
Easy to setup and works well so far
There is no way you would sleep thru the sounds that is heard when these smoke detectors are set off.
Installed and several days later only the three new ones went off even though no fire or smoke-not sure what set them off-older ones did not activate-have not reinstalled new ones yet- not sure what to do.
Good product at a great price
of the four ordered one did not work properly if just did not beep I thought it may had been the battery so I replaced but still not response so not happy
After 10 years we were changing out our Firex 5000 smoke alarms. It should be easy to simply unmount and unplug the old units and plug and mount the new ones. But Kidde changed the mounting system and the plug! The whole reason for replacing the old ones with the same thing went out the window, as now we have to get an electrician. It could have been so easy if they kept the original mount and plug design.
Unit was defective - had to return
My smoke alarms are chirping periodically to warn me of a low 9V battery. When I remove the battery and test it on a multimeter, the battery reads fine. It is not a low battery, but it keeps beeping. I've disconnected 2 of them so far in my house so far. I was very upset when I put in a new battery anyway and the beeping never stopped.
