[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd recommend these products over and over. Firstly I'd love to talk about how it's all one base to the product so all you have to do is change the top to you're liking and put it on the base and blend away. The mixer is huge, and blends with such ease. I love that it has the cup amount listed on the side for easy ways to add ingredients. It's very very easy to clean, I'm talking you can run it under the water when you're done and boom brand new! The processor is just as amazing! I've used this to make pie crusts and chop up things like garlic and onions in such a breeze. The blades are so sharp, and there's so many different options of how you can cut things. Lastly id like to include the book provided. There's so many different options I'd never even think to try such as smoothies, baby food recipes, soups and salads. Overall this purchase will amaze you! This is most definitely a 10/10 recommend!
This is a great system. It is my first Vitamix, and both the blender and the food processor attachment are wonderful. I had to adjust to having so much more power in the blender, but it has been a great improvement from my old KitchenAid blender. I would never go back.
It took me a little while to pull the trigger on purchasing, because it's most definitely an investment piece. But after weighing the options, and being made fun of by my coworkers at the amount of research and comparing I was doing, and being reminded by my husband that we'll spend that amount and then some over the years to replace blenders and food processors anyways, I took the plunge. From the moment I ordered my Vitamix, I've been excited and continue to be every time I use it! As someone who mostly does homemade, this has been a game changer! I will absolutely be purchasing more attachments too! (just maybe slowly lol)
Upgraded from a 10 year old model to the A2300. Wow! Much bigger and better designed mixing container. Smoothies, shakes, and other items come so smooth and well mixed. Makes life so much easier!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vitamix A2300 SmartPrep Kitchen System is a great investment, especially for frequent users. The system includes the machine base with interchangeable blender and food processor attachments with related accessories. Let me first say that space wise, this is a large, bulky system. However, if you have the space, I feel this system is worth it. The base has an easy to clean rubber centering pad that an attachment is placed on for operation. I was a little worried the blender, in particular, would wobble with this design, but it does not. Both the blender and food processor have snap on lids. I prefer this over my twist lids of similar products, although I find the food processor lid doesn't snap as easily as I would like. I find the system in general is very easy to clean by hand, but nearly all parts are dishwasher friendly, which will save time. The blender is bulky and smaller hands may have a hard time gripping the large handle. The control panel is very easy to operate. This blender is a powerhouse. The first thing I noticed is how smooth this blends. Very, very smooth texture. Everything needed to efficiently and smoothly blend is included in this set, but if you make single serve smoothies a lot like we do, you will probably want to look into the cup and bowl set that is compatible with the Ascent series. On the lower settings, the blender is not very loud but on the higher settings, it is quite loud. I feel you could only blend on the lower settings if you do not want to wake the household. Although this blender model does not allow for customized programs, there is an app that will allow customized programs to be sent via bluetooth. I was unable to test this feature as the app is incompatible with my phone. The food processor is a nice surprise. Prep work is a breeze with this! The set includes two discs, one for small shredding/thin slicing and one for larger shredding/thicker slicing and a multi-use blade. The food processor operates at one speed. The food processor stores into itself and I find it still takes up quite a bit of space, but less so than a similarly sized standalone food processor. I do like that the discs are stored in a convenient protective container. I find this to be much easier to hand wash, which is the primary reason I pass on using the smaller food processor we have. Do I recommend this system? Absolutely! If you are wanting to upgrade or buy into a system that can increase productivity in the kitchen, this would make a great investment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The capacity of this Vitamix is huge! Both the blender and the food processor container can hold enough food to feed a family. The base is very large also, but I cleared counter space for this one. I did feel like all the pieces that came in this set were very necessary to its versatility. The first thing I did was make strawberry ice cream in forty-five seconds! Then I did a vegetable soup, it ate up anything I put in it including potatoes with ease, and made boiling soup in six minutes. The storage for the blades, and the power button plus dial, were both features I greatly appreciated with a two year old in the house. The recipe book had delicious, quick recipes and I found endless online videos for recipes, tips, and tricks. As far as versatility, capacity, and power go, I don't think I've ever used a blender or food processor that compares.
Great products! I love using the products and they serve my needs. I use the food processor almost daily. I have not used the blender yet. My one complaint is with removing the lid from the food processor; hence my four stars. I wish it would easier to take off. I fear I would break the tabs every time I try to take it off. Please improve the design. Thank you.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a Vitamix user for over a decade now and was so glad they came out with this new Ascent 2300 complete kitchen system. This set saves me so much counter space and I can now put away my old food processor. The timer is a very nice feature to have that was missing on my older Vitamix unit. I do have to say that I do miss the pre-set features that my older unit has, such as soup, or smoothie and the auto-stop feature that this Ascent 2300 does not have. It is definitely not a deal breaker, but it is the reason why it does not get a perfect score. Overall, I am very pleased with the A2300 SmartPrep Kitchen System and it gets a solid 4 stars rating from me.
First time I used the food processor it nicked the bottom in several places putting vitamin plastic in my food. I think I'm sending it back, even if they replaced the bottom and the blade I'm still out the food and the time tonight spent making it because of what they sent me.
I returned this. After 3 uses, the food processor was no longer being detected on the base. When I spoke with customer service and declined the offer of a replacement, the agent told me they have been having issues with it. ?!?!? Then why continue to offer it until the bugs are worked out? I opted for a more basic machine, returning to the Legacy series and a separate food processor like I had prior to purchasing this model. Vitamix is an excellent product historically but this particular model just isn't up to par.
