Found pro popcorn to be very easy to use and covered all the damaged ceiling holes with ease. Very little overspray. Great design for the application. Just prime and apply. Terrific!!!
Affordable and easy to use for small patch job after a leak. Enough that covered an area about 3' x 1.5' without fearing I would run out (probably enough for another patch) A bit hard to get perfect texture match but overall better than scraping and starting over. Also given the application process you definitely want to protect surfaces below from the “fallout” [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Got this product to cover some areas where the popcorn ceiling had fallen. When it came time to cover the spot that was worked on this product worked as expected. It is a good idea to practice on the application technique before actually applying it to the area needed as it does require a bit of skill to try to mimic the current popcorn pattern on the ceiling. But once you feel comfortable with the technique then it works like a charm. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Spray from can looked very similar in texture to my condo's 40 year old popcorn ceiling. The color was whiter on the repair than the old ceiling but I would have been surprised if the color had matched perfectly. After drying I will color match for a nearly invisible repair.
This is a wonderful product. I've been wanting to fix the big nasty place in my ceiling for a while now, but dreaded it cause knew I would have to redo my entire ceiling. Showers that wasn't the case this item! Saved me soooooo much money, time, and aggervation. Very easy to use and clean up. Cannot tell where the repair was made. I have a small area to cover and I am wanting to know if you can paint over it with a thick paint roller without it coming down. I started painting the ceiling above the tub/shower where the steam seems to have loosened the existing texture and it just peeled off and I have to now repair it and repaint.
I picked up 2 cans for a small ceiling repair. First can exploded everywhere (yes I followed the instructions). Luckily I had my walls and floor covered, though not enough to cover the radius of mess! Next can covered about 2 or 3 square feet before clogging or running out. Most of the product was on the floor, on me, or glommed up on the can. Took 3 more cans to finish a 18 square foot section. And the mess left behind was insane! Never again...
I tried this product figuring it was the most expensive and maybe it would be okay. Product was HORRIBLE. It made the job WORSE, I wound up scraping it off because it was so uneven and looked Disgusting. I am returning the 1/2 empty can and getting my money back and should charge them for my time in having to clean up myself and the job site. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had the same issues as the other person where it would spray fine for the first couple seconds then it would blob up on top of the nozzle. I would clear the blob and right away it would blob up again. It almost seems as if it didn't have enough pressure to prject the spray properly. I got as much if not more on the plastic underneath than on the ceiling. I ended up using two cans for a 4 square foot section. Sucks it cost $20 a can.
Last summer my air handler froze during the day and thawed at night causing my ceiling repair situation. I bought three cans expecting to take care of about 20 square feet, but each of these cans was only able to spray the ceiling for about 3 seconds. After that they would spout like a volcano getting most of the popcorn on the floor. I got incredibly frustrated with both the unacceptable quality of the ceiling and the wasted cost of the three cans. I should have called a professional. Don't waste your money on these cans and hire someone with the right equipment.
