Let me start with saying I've never have written a review on a product before , but felt I need to for those struggling with some of the same issues as me. I started using this over a month ago and have noticed great results. My nails have been super healthy and growing fast. I started using this mainly because of my skin issues. I have bad eczema and it comes around my eyes. I have struggled with this for years. Since using this my eczema has less flair ups and I couldn't be more happy as it's super painful when it flairs up. Also, I was having issues with “acne” or what I have read up on is folliculitis on the sides of my legs. This is causes from working out in tight clothing. So needless to say I was at the point of going to a dermatologist because i tried all suggestions to rod of it and was getting embarrassed about it. Since using this daily it has cleared up almost entirely.
I researched a lot and this is the best! I am not a celebrity follower because who really cares what they do right? I'm 60 and no one believes it! My skin, hair and nails are very healthy as I fight age tooth and nail! LOL! Also it's what you eat and stay fit! I wish this product was endorsed by real people!
I have been taking this for over a year now and absolutely love it. My hair, nails and skin love it. My only complaint is the packaging. I'm forced to "McGyver" the top off of EVERY SINGLE new jar I get. It was enough to send me to another brand when I first started taking it. If anyone from Vital Proteins is out there - I'm begging you - PLEASE FIX THIS.
I'm 41. Ran a dog rescue for a decade and it took it's toll on me. Mental turned physical we think. One day 4 years ago, I woke up in so much pain, I would pray for the strength to just get up. For 4 years, I haven't left my house other than to walk my dogs or take them to the vet. The pain has become my life, so I work from home, in bed, on a laptop. Cleaning is nearly impossible. Friends are all e-friends. Dating, not a chance. I finally just accepted it and decided once my dogs are gone, I'm good to go. Why live in pain? Then I lost my job of 12 years and I organically lost 30 pounds and decided to keep it going. This was my chance to get under 300lbs. I purchased Vital Collagen to put in a smoothie-a-day. After 16 days, I'm convinced THIS is the reason I no longer wake up stiff and throbbing and wanting to die. Nothing else I'm doing is as consistent as this one thing every day of putting 2 scoops in a fruit smoothie with almond milk. Just frozen fruit, almond milk and this powder. I did 3 batches of laundry and dishes this weekend and walked my dog multiple times a day. I Actually WENT to the store and walked around. 1st time in years. I know it might not work for everyone, because not everyone has the same health issues, but I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and because of those two things, I am severely overweight now. Losing 30 pounds didn't take any of the pain off of me, but I firmly believe that this product is why I feel like I could live again. I didn't even realize my pain was specifically joint pain. But I think it was because this stuff works. Ugh I wanna cry and shout it from rooftops. Thank you for making this product. Please don't stop.
Ingesting this powder daily gave me some wonderfully, noticeable difference in my skin. I also noticed my finger nails no longer seem paper thin and break/tear easily. I will be doing a subscription so I do no go without! I like the chocolate flavored one as well, but feel I got the most benefit from this variant.
So I just opened up my 10 ounce original collagen peptide powder and it came sealed perfectly. Outer security lock and inner protective lid were both in place. But when I opened it up the powder is half gone as you can see below. So just keep that in mind. I love the product I've seen immediate results within just one week of using the rest of my aunts powder I just didn't know it came half empty. A little disappointing but still useful.
I have been using Vital Proteins for over two years now. I cannot tell you exactly when I noticed the difference, but my hair and nails are in top shape. My nails are white and my hair is shiny and grows pretty fast for a 50 yr old. My skin has not suffered the last two winters due to the east coast cold winters. This has become a natural routine for me daily. I place in my morning coffee and go.
So on my container of collagen peptides, the serving size is 4 tbsp. The recommended serving size is 10-15 grams a day, which is about 1-2 tbsp. Then on the bottle advertised above, the serving size is 3 tbsp. You used to include a scoop that was 1 tbsp and recommended 1-2 scoops. You guys are all over the place. I'm not feeling very sure about my decision to buy from you. Restore my faith and explain why so many different serving sizes???
Ive been buying this product for a couple months now. No real changes in anything however I am more wondering why my ingredient list on mine does not include Vitamin C or the Hyaluronic Acid nor does it mention anywhere which types of collagen it provides but the front label is the same. Ive been told this is important that the label states which types of collagen it provides otherwise you don't really know what you are getting. I was hoping for type 1 and 3. I just discovered this after buying in bulk so now i have 3 canisters of this. Could not find any with C or Hyaluronic acid on the shelves of a couple stores where this is available here.
This year your product has increased about $7.00 per package. As I purchased some today, my packaging read that you have removed the scooper for sustainability. Are you freaking kidding me? The only thing you are trying to sustain is your overhead. Who takes the scooper out of protein powder??????
