Pros: These are excellent to keep around the hand as the Velcro holds up well for the strap. It doesn't hurt and I recommend these. Once you have the size for each hand no further adjustments are needed. Cons: The only thing is the price I think is a little high, not by a lot, but a little overpriced. In summary, would I recommend these, definitely. I use them for my Supernatural workouts and they are not going anywhere from my hands no matter which way my hands are going to beat a black and white balloon, a soccer ball, or a yin yang symbol, lol...you'll see what I mean when you use them for that purpose. Just get it and keep it moving, they are great, you'll see.
Best I have had for safety and secure on the hands. The only "bad" part is when you have to change batteries because installing it at first, you know it is not going to be easy to change the battery or like in some games where you need to disable one of your controllers, like in Walk About Mini Golf, it isn't going to be easy.
I began using straps back with the original Oculus Quest, and have been unable to use controllers without them ever since! The Quest 2 touch controller solutions aren't bad. The Quest Pro controllers made it difficult. But when I saw that Meta made straps for the Quest 3, it went in my preorder :) the price is the only disappointment in these straps. Given the elite strap tragedies with Quest 2 and 3, it's good to see an accessory hit the mark on the first try! These straps are comfortable. They're thick enough and feel sturdy enough that I expect them to last the life of the controller, and maybe even the inevitable replacement controller! ;) the grip is perfect and I've had no issues with stretching or loosening at all. It really does make the controllers feel whole. Replacing the batteries is quick. Push in the release button (I thought I was going to break the controller trying to open the battery door when I got the headset.. until I found the button) and the battery cover easily slides off and stays tethered thanks to the strap. Pop out the old, put in the new, then .. it might take you a couple times before you are putting the battery door back on subconsciously, because you have to flip it up and over so you don't end up with the strap twisted. But it's not frustrating by any means. It is 10000000x better having the strap integrated into the controller instead of being part of a silicon or tpu grip cover that stretches and slides around, like all previous headsets. If you are a strap person, I don't think it's possible that you could be disappointed with these.
If you do not have these then you are missing out on the experience. You could go with hand tracking which is pretty good, but the slow the hand controller to stay with you and not flop around. Like I said in the title they should be with the quest 3 or of the box
my son absolutely loves these straps. the controllers can still be charged with these and super easy to put on
I got this thinking it was something completely different. Then when I got my Quest 3 I thought I just wasted money on something I didn't need. But then I thought about it and decided to use it in a boxing game and that is where it really shined. It brought a whole new level to the immersion, because I felt like I was wearing a boxing glove. I love it. The only downside is that it is difficult to hit the menu and oculus button, but it is worth the difficulty for the way it makes the controller feel in your hand.
Just as advertised. Work great
Easy to install and are very Comfortable in the hand. No hot spots were others with the buckle on top. this cause a sore spot at the knuckles.
These would be 5 star straps but for one thing. In order to put the onto your controller, you have to remove the standard cord. On my Quest 2 I have controller straps that do not require this. Which is really nice. I like having the extra strap loose around my wrists just Incase the added strap comes loose. But really it's nice to be able to remove my controller from my hand and let it dangle from my wrist while I grab a drink of water or do something else real quick. If these allowed me to.do.that, they would be perfect
Overprized and I tried to tell myself, that I will definitly not buy them. But now I bought them, since 3rd party vendor's aren't ready yet or their solutions aren't compatbile with the docking station. Build quality feels pretty good and they just work. Even tho overall they are worse than the Index straps, where you could additionally change the position of the top attachment. But if you just care about VR convenience and you hate the look of the default forearm straps in your charging station... than they are a solid upgrade.
