I have two of an old model of Panasonic cordless phone (KX-TG5471). Since they have survived lots of abuse I wanted to keep using them, but their batteries won't hold a charge after several years. These Energizer ERP104 batteries are a good, reasonably priced substitute for the original Panasonic HHR-P104 battery. They have slightly less capacity - 800 mAH versus 830 mAH - but that's minor.
The battery works very well, and sure beats the price of purchasing a new telephone. Also keeps telephones out of the landfill.
I have heard folks say it is cheaper to buy a new phone than replace a battery, however, I didn't want to do that, and while the shipping was a bit high (what isn't) when the battery came, we put it in, put the phone on the charger and we are back in business. In the long run, we didn't lose any phone numbers or caller ID numbers and this was good for us.
